They’re not being racially segregated lol

The study is referencing the fact that hospitals which disproportionately service communities of color have worse outcomes. That’s not because they’re segregated that’s because why would really good doctors and nurses choose to work at a hospital in a community with massive crime, drugs and violence that they have to endure every day on their way to, from and at work when they can get a better paying job in an area with virtually no crime or violence?

The answer is they won’t. But that doesn’t amount to segregation. That’s ludicrous.

Round and round you go. The authors of this research repeatedly find that racial segregation exists. This impacts on mortality, morbidity and economic opportunity. You are free to ignore their findings, but please don't pretend that you have an argument. You have an opinion based on merely ignoring the evidence. Work out the delusion from there!

Define racial segregation. Since apparently you don’t know what the term means.

    Here let me help you:

Racial segregation is the systemic separation of people into racial or other ethnic groups in daily life. Segregation can involve the spatial separation of the races, and mandatory use of different institutions, such as schools and hospitals by people of different races. Specifically, it may be applied to activities such as eating in restaurants, drinking from water fountains, using public toilets, attending schools, going to movies, riding buses, renting or purchasing homes or renting hotel rooms.[1] In addition, segregation often allows close contact between members of different racial or ethnic groups in hierarchical situations, such as allowing a person of one race to work as a servant for a member of another race.

Segregation is defined by the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance as "the act by which a (natural or legal) person separates other persons on the basis of one of the enumerated grounds without an objective and reasonable justification, in conformity with the proposed definition of discrimination.

That seems to be true at least for the public schools. I read the schools are more segregated now than before Brown v. Board of Education.

White parents may say, and even believe, that Black Lives Matter. But, in the final analysis, their children's lives matter more.

I believe in equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome; in words, I believe in equity, which is counter to affirmative action, since it runs router to the principle of equality of opportunity.

How do you know you have never been racially profiled or discriminated against because of your skin color? Unless you've gotten every job for which you've applied and unless you were accepted to every college to which you applied, there is a possibility that you have been discriminated against based on your skin color, per the legality of the systemic racism that is affirmative action.

Hahahaha! You're the one ignoring the evidence to maintain the delusion.

Now the exact definition will depend on the nature of the study. The paper references refers to a distinction between "segregation (ie, uneven distribution of racial and ethnic groups across NICUs) and inequality (ie, concentration of racial or ethnic groups in lower-quality NICUs)"

Uneven distribution is not segregation. That’s absurd. If so then EVERYTHING is segregated because there’s not equal distribution for any good, product or service.

As such, to attribute that as the definition of segregation renders the word meaningless.

It is segregation and it does generate institutionalised discrimination. Want to get right wing delusion published? Go ahead and try ;)

I know lots of female Senators, doctors and professors. Does that mean there is no more sexism?

Does anyone think that BLM banding together with rich, white liberal kids and antifa is a pretty strange union? I mean, BLM doesn't say "black lives and some white lives matter." And they have been pretty adamant in their refusal to accept "all lives matter." So what's the end game? If I were to venture a guess, I would say if the thing gets supreme power, one group intends to swindle the other.

Extraordinarily naive. There's research, for example, proving discrimination continues in the higher education sector.

Equal pay (for ALL, regardless of gender or race etc) for the same job, same hours, and the same amount of experience in candidates/incumbents - has been the law for years. You have no argument whatsoever.

You know as well as I, that no company is going to risk their entire business just to save a few bucks a year short-shrifting the brown guy.

No, it doesn't. No one can be paid less for random arbitrary reasons.

A male and female doing the same job/same hours/with same qualifications etc, ARE paid exactly the same.

You're actually the one suggesting they ought not be, Moriah.

You're blustering again. The evidence will necessarily control for human capital and such like. Crikey, you really should know this as it actually originates from the right wing Chicago School you get excited over.

So, because there are black people who are doctors, lawyers, senators, etc then racism does not exist at all? Because there are women who are doctors, lawyers, senators , etc, then sexism does not exist at all? Good to know. It’s official folks, racism and sexism doesn’t exist anymore. Cool.
