Well then stop all forms of transportation. How many are killed in motor vehicles yearly? I mean, if it would just save one life............. right?

Cherry picking doesn't work. They are both red states as of the last election. Besides FL increase is more than just Miami, much more

I do believe we opened too early but at the same time the economy had to be kicked into gear even it is low gear.

Unfortunately, the Trumpester is ignoring it.

It's not cherry picking. Go look at a map of Florida with county numbers. It will refute your narrative.

Now for the love of God can we dial back the politicization??

The protesters who didn't practice social distance.

Did you really just ask that? Are you really blaming everyone else for what the protesters/rioters/criminals did?

The idiots rioting and vandalizing and "protesting" are responsible for their own vile actions. Nobody else is to blame.

Funny how, for centuries, civilized people have been able to write laws, pass laws, and amend laws without rioting or looting.

And then along came BLM and Antifa.

It comes down to testing and widespread testing along with social distancing and masks

Listen to them or they'll burn your house down, beat your family, then blame you for the covid spread. I don't know why this isn't convincing.

That's weird, none of us ever heard the Covid-19 worriers talking about this stuff in regards to the tens of thousands of protestors and their ideological shadows, the rioters and looters, muggers and murderers. But NOW all of a sudden it's become an issue again? Perhaps the real uptick is due to those idiots running around acting like idiots.

To be fair . . . almost no leftists realize that most large Texas cities are controlled by Dem Paty mayors.

And if these same people felt those laws were being applied equally.......

But this is not a new thing - there have been protests over the last fifty plus years

You actually believe the whole reason for the increase with Covid is because of protestors? According to research, it was not them. Do you have any to back up your claim. I've attached a link that has a link to some research.

Well no, it would make no sense to think 10's of thousands of people who gathered without social distancing would help spread it.

And if these same people hadn't gathered by the 10's of thousands to commit vandalism, loot, assault......etc.

    It is not just Texas

but those insisting on blaming all of this on “democrats” will go down the list until they DO find a democrat to blame

even if that is only the local dog catchers cousins’s wife’s nieces boyfriend

And the Boogaloo boys who were doing most of that?

Again - perhaps there should have been some effort made to address the concerns of the protestors

Actually, look at the history of violent protests, and see if even you can find a common thread.....

    :confuse:

    Did you get it yet?

So you're really going to stick with blaming everyone else for the actions of tens of thousands of criminal rioters? And then when covid spikes weeks later, you want to pretend there is not way it has anything to do with the tens of thousands who didn't social distance so they could destroy, loot, and assault?

I keep repeating back to you what you're saying but it's so unbelievable. I keep waiting for you to say "sike".

Considering that someone else on this thread actually tried to justify the COVID rioter/protester spike by saying it was mitigated by the reduction in cases from civilized people (because they stayed home to avoid the riots) there's not much leftwing extremists can say to surprise me anymore.

Don't give up the mask. Better to wear it 'wrong' than not at all.
If you absolutely have to , choose to wear the mask covering your mouth and leave the nostrils uncovered. The saliva particles you release when you talk carry more viral load than what you exhale through normal breathing . If you feel a sneeze or cough coming you can move it fully into position if it is already right there..

You misread the post. I did not read it to 'justify' irresponsible behavior by protestors, but to mention that the reduction in traffic had the affect of mitigating the harm.

Your biggest problem is that the health care system needs it slowed so that they can keep up with the intakes and treatment and discharge. As it is the slowing down allowed the providers of equipment and PPE to get their volume increased to meet the high demand and provide for more adequate staffing. Imagine condensing this into one month. who's manning the hospitals, nursing homes throughout the country etc if all of them are exposed simultaneously? Slow is better.

...as if that made it ok. Which is attempting to justify it.

There's no way to spin it so that rioters, protesters, vandals and looters are exempt from responsibility when it comes to COVID spread. Especially not if you've been preaching to keep the country shut down, don't go to restaurants, and OMG don't get a hair cut.
