Sounds like a bunk story, but you can sure share it all you want. I doubt any businesses were turning away paying customers in 2020 due to race, but it sure helps to pull at heart strings to make everyone and everything racist.

This is all you need to understand virtually all the discussion of "privilege" in society today.

Pretty deep division, not sure how it can be healed.

My favorite movie story related to people being nutty is the Disney movie Pocahontas.

Mel Gibson was the voice of a main character. When asked in an interview what he thought about some Native Americans being upset about the movie not being historically accurate his reply was epic..

“It has a Fuc.ing talking raccoon in it, how historically accurate did they think it would be?”

That’s my kind of answer :)

You're forgetting that people get weeded out and discriminated against even before it gets to the underwriting stage. I've had idiot bankers make assumptions about me based on the fact I was wearing sweatpants one day and they assumed that certain services were not available to me without even looking up the balance I had with them. I'm sure this happens based on skin color too.

That sums it up. I've stopped trying to reason with people intent on being stuck in myopic thinking. It's rather exhausting.

It happens. I've seen it happen more than I care to remember. Similar thing happened to me twice at car dealerships. People really shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

AGAIN, most applicants are never seen by the people at the local bank branch nor does the underwriter see them. Most loan/mortgage applications are done online now. It's not the older days when you go sit in front of a person to apply. I've said this repeatedly and some still won't listen. I know most banks can do it over email or online app.

Yes I have. Do you not understand that underwriters from another state who make the approval/denial decisions, overlooked by a supervisor, know absolutely NOTHING about areas of a town that the applicant is wanting to buy in.

It seems so many dems here want to throw out racist accusations but really are ignorant to today's processes in business. Education is important.

You also don't know what redlining did.

Please don't tell me your best friends are black.

"... 43.8 percent of African immigrants achieved the most college degrees" compared to " ...23.1 percent of the U.S. population."

Please don't thank me for educating you.

There is no evidence of discrimination.
At least no one has presented it yet.
The BS like income difference etc is just a BS.

The first step would be to abolish unconstitutional privileges for blacks, women and other categories.
The division is intentional, it is promoted by the elites, that way people will fight with each other instead of voting out corrupt politicians.

    Donald Trump?

He already has people fighting each other. The prize could be GOP lawmaker testicles.

Additional data is needed to determine if the reason in each case was indeed racism. For instance, if people with certain physical characteristics are suspected of being involved in criminal activity in an area, it stands to reason that the police would stop and question people based on those characteristics.

I've been racially profiled several times, even though I'm milky white, because I have the same physical characteristics as the people the police was searching for.

I'm aware that racism is alive and well, in each and every human society I might add, but I don't think the way the American left chose to deal with it is the right way. Too much stereotyping of all sides.

You are correct. Racism is alive and well along with other forms of discrimination and there is too much stereotyping on all sides. Until people say it aloud and open the lines of communication, it's going to continue and continue to divide human beings.

The thing ALL people have in common is we all want life, liberty and justice.

I take it this means you have no rebuttal to your previous statement and now that I've shown it was false, you are conceding but had to throw in a few R insults first.
Stop blaming everything on racism when there is none. The country is sick of it and this is why you will lose again in November.

Thanks for the laugh. It says volumes about your inability to actually address the issue here. We have so many examples to choose from, and yet, you're approach is to simply attack the messenger? Golly, let me know how that works out for you. How about this. Explain how the 22 trillion dollars wasted on social programs have ever resulted in improvements which led to one of those programs being shut down because it is no longer necessary. And more, explain why such a small portion of that 22 trillion dollars actually got to those in need. There is no magic here. It's control of the press and control of the narrative. Watch any of the left wing media, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, et al, and you get exactly this narrative not even vaguely repackaged, but purpose spoon fed to those who consume from it.

For folks like you, the simplistic version is the only thing you can understand it seems. So for you, the "color of one's skin" seems to be the only thing you can see, so it's the only thing that matter to you. that sounds pretty divisive, no? So if media doesn't provide the examples, who will? When media today are only interested in telling the 87% of the rest of the nation that only non immigrant black folk are the only ones who have an issue, that seems pretty specific, no? And when you get PSAs about it that seems like the media then are purposefully shilling that, no?

The point isn't to get folks to vote for "us". It's to educate them on why voting for those who push this on them is stupid. It doesn't presuppose that it implies a specific recommendation here for who to vote for. There are plenty of examples for the RINOs who have just as happily voted along with their progressive siblings. And that is also the danger here. But, it absolutely needs to change. It must. The nation cannot survive the onslaught of this kind of division. And, as I pointed out, that is an elitist position here. The artificial legislative protectionism of the elite. To ensure that their control and power isn't diluted, to ensure that their legislated annuities don't run dry. This is a pretty apparent process. And this is why those who's power is derivative from it are now so threatened, and why now we see them uniformly whipping up the weak minded to riot on their behalf.

My previous statement asked if you know redlining term. You said yes and then dismissed it existed.
Stop promoting systematic racism if you're tired of it.
