    Gosh why would black people think they see racism in America lol totally no history of that here! We didn’t used to own them, then not let them vote and lynch them, send them to war but not let them dine with us, screw them out of things like the homestead act, use them for syphilis tests...

    Sounds to me as though L'Oreal is going overboard trying to make up for their poor handling of Bergdorf's firing. The simple fact is that there is make up for white skin and make up for dark skin - and every shade in between. Playing with the names is just pandering at this point.

    Yes, just like most other countries, America had slavery and done away with it. America had institutional racism and done away with it. It is up to Blacks themselves now to do with their lives as they please without most of discrimination OF THE PAST.

    If you liked the L'Oreal story, I KNOW you are going to love this one...

    Even I laughed at this one, although like many things, I'm sure there's a backstory to it.

    Personally, I avoid having too many opinions on all this renaming... I just laugh...

    On Saturday, TMZ reported that the Houston Association of Realtors will no longer use the term "master" when describing the biggest bedroom and bathroom in a home. From now on, the association will describe these areas as "primary" bedrooms or bathrooms.

    The change occurred earlier this month after it was called to the public's attention that this term could be referred back to the antebellum United States. During this time, the slaveholding, landowning head of the home—or the "master"—would have his own separate spaces in the house.

    Yep.

    I'm in a software bidnes, and will now have to learn a whole slate of new "names" such as replacements for Master/Slave, Whitelist/Blacklist etc. which are coming. But here's my problem - all my professional life I knew that White was good, and Black was bad.

    Now what?
