And so do car accidents, cancer, alcohol and a plethora of other ailments. That’s not the point. Covid kills elderly and those with major health issues at an extremely higher rate compared to young and middle aged. It’s no deadlier than the flu for most people. This isn’t debatable. To insinuate that everyone is equally in danger shows total ignorance of well documented information.

We take precautions against car accidents and fatalities caused by them, ditto cancer. We have laws regulating the consumption of alcohol likewise intended to save life and limb.

Covid kills all sorts of people and, no less importantly, messes a lot of people up who don't necessarily succumb to the illness. On top of that, having too many people ill at once risk overloading the healthcare system and causing problems, including needless deaths, for everyone.
