    Full Title:

Reddit just banned r/The_Donald, the largest pro-Trump subreddit, as it cracks down on hate speech and targeting

The message board site banned more than 2,000 subreddits that regularly broke its rules on harassment, hate speech, and targeting on Monday, CEO Steve Huffman announced in a post. One of those subreddits was r/The_Donald, a pro-Trump forum with more than 790,000 users.
"All communities on Reddit must abide by our content policy in good faith. We banned r/The_Donald because it has not done so, despite every opportunity," Huffman wrote. "The community has consistently hosted and upvoted more rule-breaking content than average ... and its mods have refused to meet our most basic expectations."

    ___________

    Glad to see this.

    It is long overdue.

They banned over 2,000 Subs (in all), in accordance with the new policy.

Do you agree with Reddit's Decision?

    Thoughts?

Reddit is a far left circle jerk of woke college kids who don't know much about anything at all, this does not surprise me. They love they're censorship, any real discussion to be had around those parts died a long time ago.

If Reddit has rules for content and this group broke those rules consistently after being warned, then Reddit has the right to ban them. And yes, I would say the same for any Dem group breaking rules consistently.

In any event, it will make it a little bit more difficult for Trump Supporters to hunt for memes to Spam all over the Internet.

How is it censorship if they've broken content rules again and again?

It's not. People don't like to be self-aware or accept responsibility that their actions lead to certain consequences.

Iv'e seen left subs behave just as bad if not worse when it comes hateful messages and calls for violence, and no punishment for most of them. The fact they pretend to have a type of moral high ground is laughable.

The Con has just been banned from Twitch, too. :applause:

Amazon’s video site Twitch bans Trump for ‘hateful conduct’

    Key Points
    • Amazon’s live streaming video site Twitch temporarily banned President Donald Trump from its platform Monday for posting “hateful conduct.”
    • It’s unclear how long Trump’s account will be suspended.
    • The Trump campaign joined Twitch last year in order to stream its rallies and events.
Amazon’s video site Twitch, primarily used to stream e-sports, temporarily banned President Donald Trump from its platform Monday for posting “hateful conduct.”

Twitch pointed to comments made at two rallies that led to its decision. At a campaign rally in 2016, which was recently rebroadcast on the platform, Trump said Mexico was sending over its bad actors, such as rapists or drug dealers. Twitch also pointed to Trump’s recent Tulsa rally, where he told a fictional story of a ‘tough hombre’ invading someone’s home.

“Hateful conduct is not allowed on Twitch. In line with our policies, President Trump’s channel has been issued a temporary suspension from Twitch for comments made on stream, and the offending content has been removed,” a Twitch spokesperson told CNBC.

It's reddit's arbitrary rules that are promoting the censorship. It's not their users that should be censored, but reddit itself that should be censored; censored by the governemnt for violating free speech.

You're blaming the victims when you should be blaming the censorers.

    Huh?

They also banned Several LW Subs.

    Most notably. r/ChapTrapHouse:

Similarly, r/ChapoTrapHouse had also hosted content that violates the site’s rules, Huffman said. The subreddit is a spinoff of the popular left-wing podcast.

Totally LMAO at the notion that "Only the RW was targeted"...:roflol::bored:

So a private business posts rules. Then they ban breakers of those rules. That's censorship? I've already stated that I support the company's right to ban anyone who is constantly violating their rules. I don't see it as censorship. Why do you?

There was this sub i cannot remember the name of, it was some kind of com/socialist sub where iv'e seen topics unironically say Mao was a good guy as well as some Cambodian genocide denial. If i can ever find the sub again i will post a link. But im sure thats been taken down or cleaned up by now.
Edit: /r/CapitalismVSocialism/ looks like they've cleaned up that place alot since i last visited.

They also allow various antifa subs even though that name has violence associated with it as well.

Right, not legal censorship, it's hypocrisy writ large.

While not legal censorship, it is censorship of opposing political speech. It's the yelling down of the politically incorrect voice. It's wrong when the government does it and it's wrong when groups of people single out and do the same.

It is intellectually repulsive. It's the wrong path, well worn, but leading to human suffering. We need to get back to the path less traveled, the one we have been on, it made all the difference.

    Choose well and good luck.

I think it's a bit naive of you to think that these so-called "social media sites" don't have a liberal bias. So even if their "rules" are not biased, it's their enforcement of them that's biased.

    Yeah? And do what?

Reddit ALSO Banned several LW Subs (among the 2000+).

    That said:

Anybody who perceives "Liberal Bias" is always free to stop using the platform (or start their own).

    ^Problem solved.

If righties don't want to be called racists and hatemongers then they should stop being racists and hatemongers. Duh.
