Hate speech is determined by Leftists and the MSM. For example. Nword obviously bad. White trash or cracker is good. Write a headline about white cops killing black people? That’s perfectly fine. Cover ANY story about blacks killing whites and it’s hate speech. Talk about white crime and it’s ok. Black crime is hate speech.
It's completely subjective and all depends on the parties involved. Far more likely for a white to be accused.
Hate speech is speech you hate. It's hard to define but you know it when you hear it. Mostly applies to conservatives and Trump supporters you hate.

When I grew up most sane kids followed this "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" saying. It's only this generation of hurt feeling bed wetter's that really need to grow a pair and move on.
Hate speech is just as difficult to define as is defining a hate crime. Neither of them are easy to reach agreement on. Creating hate crimes as a legal construct are just another way for the do gooders to pat themselves on the back and claim that they accomplished something. Hate speech is just speech you or I do not agree with or not like.
