And how often do poll results from an entire district fail to be counted because someone mislaid them?? Our how many right wing states restrict voting by minimizing the number of polling places in areas they know Democrats live creating huge 5 and 6 hour waits to vote. I do not see why the union members would be untrustworthy. What verification are you talking about? Vote by mail should be an option and it is nothing new we have had absentee ballots since the last ice age. Matter of fact the very first time I voted itvwas by mail. I have worked with the polling system for a while in my town and I had started with absentee ballot processing / counting verification. I assure we domit very safely here in CT. I now work at a polling place the last several years. No one gets through my station without.showing their picture ID.

No one is arguing against absentee ballots. This is one of many valid arguments against forcing all voters to vote by mail.
