After investigations into far right elements in Germany's elite commando units in the KSK, it has been decided to dissolve the units entirely. Several members were found to support the AfD (Alternative for Germany) political party which is primarily an anti-immigration party which emerged after the flood of middle eastern and African immigrants in 2015.

This is a great idea! Dissolve the units that are trained to deal with hostage crises and terrorism. It's not like the 9/11 hijackers planed their attacks in Germany or the country has seen an increase in Islamic terrorism. Maybe they can get the Munich Boys Choir to take their place and combat the terrorists with hugs and Christmas carols.

I have a feeling whatever they replace it with is going to become anti-immigration as well. These are likely the folks they send to deal with terrorist cells. It should be telling that they all went 'far right' (which is just how MSM says not progressive globalist) as a result of dealing with em...

The KSK is a military unit and because of it can not be used domestically. For domestic terrorism there is the famous GSG9 and other specialized state police units.
KSK, is a hot bed for Neo Nazis, the AfD would be not enough to cause a Partial Dissolvement.
The AfD is a legal Party and is represented in the German Parliament. Some of its actors are under observation, because of their connections to Neo Nazis.
Islamic terrorism is not really a problem in Germany. The thread comes from the Neo Nazis.

I would not want to get involved with the special anti terrorism police forces in Germany, like the GSG9, they are rather bad news and have 40 years of experience, taking down terrorist of any political colour.

KSK will be partial dismantled to get the bad apples out and than rebuilt.

Hugs and Christmas carols are not in at the present In and choirs do not perform.

The m***** are those that talk about things they know hardly anything about and seemingly don't care to inform themselves. face palm
The KSK consists of roughly 1,000 men, highly trained special forces. This unit is not going to be dissolved, what nonsense.
One company (the 2nd company) turned out to be highly problematic and will be dissolved completely, which means there won't be a 2nd company in the future. Those that are part of this particular unit will have to join other companies. The KSK itself will continue, yet it will be reorganised, i.d. in administrative terms it will probably become part of the normal forces. Until recently, the KSK has been a highly autonomous force. There will probably also be a second garrison in the future, etc. Btw, the thing that got this investigation rolling was a letter from a high ranked KSK officer.
As gnoib already said, the military is not used domestically in Germany. Some KSK units have been active in the Balkans, Afghanistan, etc. So, whether Germany has one or ten of these military forces doesn't make any difference regarding domestic politics. For domestic anti-terror jobs, there are special police units like the GSG9.
Highly simplified news = highly simplified conclusions by highly uninformed fools. I need some aspirin.
