And, of course, scientists have conspired to make Al Gore rich since the 1850s, right?

That has zero to do with what I said. That does not sound rational to me.

No. I think you correcting your misquote is good enough.

See why it's important you quote the person and not the wingnut media?

I think one day she'll be President.

    Good idea.

Don't touch the actual quote that slapped down your original premise that climate doomongering is just false right-wing mockery.

But she was saying the world was going to end in twelve years unless we do something about it. The last part of the quote was only here saying that he was only concerned about who would pay for it.

It did not change the meaning of her quote.

    Forget it.

Golem is doing that thing they do where they pretend words don't mean what they mean.

She literally said, "the world is going to end in 12 years". Direct quote. LOL

Nope. Not "like" that at all.

What's going on today is a CONSENSUS...which is far beyond "speculation"

Even your hero here is saying that Climate Change is real and man made

What Shellenberger gets wrong: According to scientists, the big issue is that the Brazilian Amazon stores a vast amount of carbon. Increased deforestation combined with climate change is pushing the Amazon ever closer to a forest-to-savanna tipping point, triggering a large release of carbon and worsening global warming.

He's smart enough to get this right but chose not to.

    Which makes him dishonest

It appears you are repeating your post with the belief that the more times you post it the closer it will get to the truth. How disappointed you must be.

Ohh... there is a boogy man in the room... he's from.....gasp.... the cleanest of all possible options.... but shriek..... And no, he isn't "from the nuclear lobby". The guy has been an environmentalist, socialist, for decades. Does the fact that nuclear power can provide clean efficient and affordable energy scare you for some reason? Does giving folks real options not align back to your need to control everyone? Here's a thought. If nuclear could power the planet, all its citizens, and not take up half, yes HALF of the land for energy production, would you use it? If not, why?

Hmm.. perhaps you'll try engaging it at some point. Perhaps you could explain to the class how what has been pointed out by Schellenberger is wrong? No? Cant do it? That is kind of the point of posting it. I post it, you can't rebut or otherwise respond to it, and all you have is ad hominem. That's about the size of it.

Was that supposed to be a citation? If so you left out the citation. You obviously didn't write this.

"On Sunday, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez took issue with Republicans for taking her statement seriously.

“This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and ‘fact check’ it,” she tweeted. “Like the ‘world ending in 12 years’ thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal. But the GOP is basically Dwight from The Office so who knows.”

Lots and lots of sea sponges.

LOL... So that was what then? A joke? So she's referring to her millennial children brigade out for being stupid? How ironic that would be. More, her comment wasn't ironic, or satirical. Watch the twitter video. She was serious. And when she got slammed for it, she had no other excuse but to try to attempt to make it sound like she was being sarcastic. Which, clearly she was not. Cool thing about video. It captures the context. I suppose either a) her base will now understand that she's just using them, or b) she's in serious political jeopardy. Either way, we might not have to witness her going forward.

And lots of things that can't grow where apples do will now be able to grow there.

    It balances out.

Unless you are a big fan of apples.
