The agreement would see players replace their last names with social justice messages they want to showcase

Though the NBA is dealing with an uptick in coronavirus cases as it prepares to restart its season, it does appear that basketball will return in some fashion on July 30. As part of the restart, the league will reportedly allow players to replace their names on the back jerseys in favor of messages regarding social justice.


The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news on Twitter, saying that the league and the players’ union, the National Basketball Players Association, agreed on the new rule.

BLM is a Marxist organization that has little to do with the murders and deaths of Black Americans. If they cared, they would be doing something about the 699 Blacks out of 700 that are not killed by the police. That's right only 1 out of 700 Black deaths are by the police and some of those are justified. This does not excuse the crap like what happened to George Floyd, but he is an extreme outlier. However the other 699 are not outliers and their lives don't matter to BLM, because they cannot push their Marxist Agenda on their graves.

I want to see if the NBA is serious, or just another pandering piece of **** organization that will bow down to Marxists in order to make a $. Let's see if they will allow any of the following:

• Stop Islamic Attacks on Gays
• All Lives Matter

• Sharia Law is Evil to Women

I am baffled by those who use Social Justice Warrior (SJW) as a put down. Anyone living in a community with others should be interested in social justice. The idea has somehow been hijacked and now it is an awful thing. But, for me, I proudly declare myself a SJW!!! I see it as synonymous with 'human who cares for others'.

 

What are we "protesting" at this point though? Both Chauvin and the officer in Atlanta(who I believe especially will be found in the clear) are in custody and the justice system. In order to protest, there has to be an active "thing" you're protesting. If one's protesting the shitty conditions which leads to these untimely deaths, some community activism would be the thing.

And above all, much better parenting. The parents of this generation of adults suck HARD. I'm criticizing all of them for allowing things like CHAZ to happen. What morals exist in these homes today, hmm?

I think this one we can compromise on. I suggest the NBA give out all of their tickets to BLM/AntiFa protesters, pull out all of their security and allow their players to perform before peaceful protesters. Televise the games nationally live so that message can get out. I would be honestly interested to see if they could conduct themselves in a honorable manner.
