Sounds serious. Why isn't he being prosecuted for sedition?

Here's what the IG said about McCabe. He “lacked candor, including under oath, on multiple occasions in connection with describing his role in connection with a disclosure to the [Wall Street Journal]” in violation of FBI policy, and that his “disclosure of the existence of an ongoing investigation in the manner described in this report violated the FBI’s and the Department’s media policy and constituted misconduct.”

Doesn't sound like a coup to me.

I agree about the difficulty of the conspiracy part. I do, however, believe that the active abuse of power to unseat a president is, actually, treason.

That would be alarming indeed if it were true. Alas, it's another fever swamp delusion.

Exactly what was it that McCabe said that got you so defensive? What did you take exception to? Or.........was your erroneous reply a diversion so you didn't have to acknowledge the litany of former officials who have corroborated what McCabe said? Do you even know what he said?

It isn't surprising that you would mistake incredulity for defensiveness...

Loyalty to........................? Did or did not the DOJ decide, with all the facts at their disposal, not to charge McCabe? Or Comey, or Page, or Strzok.

Yet, Manafort was convicted, as was Cohen, Flynn, Stone, and Gates. Mueller revealed chargable evidence of obstruction regarding the Orange Messiah yet couldn't indict. He was impeached based on overwhelming evidence of abuses of power and obstruction yet while 1/2 dozen Repub senators admitted Don was guilty as charged they cowardly voted to acquit....sans Romney.

Unfortunately, I realize none of this will penetrate your fortress-like defenses.

Treason as defined in the US "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court."

Funny but the remedy when a POTUS committed the act of abusing power is impeachment but there were not enough people in the Senate to punish a criminal POTUS who abused his power as chief executive.

So I guess it' s like the Bible says depending on "whose ox was being gored".

You realize the DOJ dropped the case?

The judge noting “political pressure from top” and the case resembling that of “a banana republic”.

We’ll likely be paying this guy his entire life.

Yes and Attila the Hun said awful things about Rome and then pillage a lot if it. Sorry I trust the FBI'S head liar and chief about as far as I trust skunk patties on the barbie. And as far as the rest of these administrative state swine go, sorry not interested in their opinions. They hate Trump because Trump doesn't value their opinions nearly as much as they do and that includes Bolton.

Trump fails to study, comprehend and appreciate facts. That is the issue.

Trump and his devotees don't like what McCabe (among so many others) has to say about him, so they attack the source and dismiss anything they have to say out of hand instead.

The more truthful the commentary the more vehement the character assassination.

I know exactly as much as you do so how do you know it's asinine and not right on the money?

Your comment is asinine, pretending you know something you don't.

From the original IG report, yes. I am aware. There are other investigations ongoing. Evidently, you were unaware of those.

You choose to believe that I don't. I think that Trump understands just fine, he just disagrees and they can't stand it.

In other words, stay tuned for next week's episode of Donald Trump's continuing saga, "We're Gonna Get 'em Soon." And it's going to be beautiful......believe me (wink).

If he is going to disagree, he had better do so responsibly. He has not been, and that is also the issue.

That's been my response to Trump's rhetoric about this pandemic and wearing masks up until just recently.

Hey Spooky, I know enough to know that not reading the intel daily brief is stupid, and, in fact, it's a dereliction of duty, which demonstrates that your comment was asinine.

This president has created a culture in the briefing room that he gets real angry at anyone for bringing negative information against Putin, so an intel guy who has a mortgage and a family and not enough moxy to stand up to the president because they know he is unpredictable and lacking empathy and might fire someone on a frickin' whim, so they will put it in a briefing document and not mention it. But, of course, the President won't read it. The source of this problem goes to the man in charge.

Here's what I do know, Spooky, that the president is unfit for office.

    Your comment was asinine, period.

    That much, I DO know.
