So forest fires are no longer an issue? Clean water is no longer essential? Social distancing during the virus surge will be ignored and masks optional? There are no dumber and corrupt people in the world than these nitwits and all that will join their idiotic festivities.

 

I see where at least two different Native American tribes want Mt. Rushmore faces removed.

 

Fire danger appears to be low in that area right now. Not sure why water pollution would be more of a concern there than anywhere else. I am sure no one will be prevented from wearing a mask if they choose to do so. Not sure what the Native American concerns are...

I don't know if I should or at the hypocrisy of the leftists who are all outraged at the idea of Independence Day celebrations, but who were cheering for the mobs of rioters. Those folks had might as well sit down and shut up, they've lost all credibility.

Back when all of this first began, all people wanted to do was get back to a semblence of normal: Maintain their employment and/or their businesses, so they can maintain their livelihoods and be fed and clothed. Candidate Obama and a bus of campaign reporters visited Mount Rushmore late on a Friday evening in May 2008. The New York Times covered it as an adorable moment with Obama’s “tie not a half-inch ajar” and Obama joking with park rangers that his ears were too big to carve on the mountain.

Candidate Hillary Clinton had already been there. On her photo op a few days earlier, a reporter asked her if she could envision herself carved on the mountain.

If those protesting the death of black individuals do not have to wear masks while standing shoulder-to-shoulder with complete strangers, then no individual is in need of wearing masks presently.
