This morning is a good example. Network feed to my local news said unemployment claims went up from last month and that’s all they said about it. Then I turned to FOX and they told me unemployment claims went up from last month but also told me a record 50 million jobs were created last month. The network left that fact out .

You must have it pretty good to have so much time to worry about totally irrelevant crap like this.

I kind of like being able to breathe freely through my nostrils, and it sounds like 90% of everyone else likes to also.

How sad some people are actively wishing this vile Chinese virus on people who may have differing opinions. I'm old enough to remember when you could carry on an argument without personal attacks.

I am not wishing anything on you, but if you act foolish with this virus then you may find out exactly what it can do.

Trump says he looks like Lone Ranger in a mask and likes it
    [IMG]
And that is the mask Trump thinks will be reliable in helping to prevent Covid from spreading.
    hahahahahahahahahaha

Apart from the fact that these supposedly 50 million new jobs are a fairy tale and are nothing more than a blank claim ... So much for Fox News and Truth!

No ... you always have to and must assume that someone is infected, because again:
After being infected by another person, it can take about 14 days for the disease to break out and without test no one knows within these 14 days to be infected ... but since Day 1 of the infection, you are a "Corona Virus Mothership" and you can unwittingly infect many others ... especially via "droplet infection" from the mouth and nose area with coughing and sneezing, but also spitting and even breathing! And the range for droplet infection without any mask is 1.5 to 2 meters (1m corresponds to 1.0936 yards or 39.370 inches).
With any mask, the range is less than one meter!

The thing with the gloves that comes again and again has to do with the fact that the virus survives for a longer time via droplet infection on all possible surfaces, including skin. So if someone touches something with his hands on which someone else has spread via droplet infection the virus, you have it on your hand and skin. And how often do you touch your own face with your own hand and thus on your mouth and nose? Exactly ... that's the problem and why gloves!
Hand hygiene in general is also very important ... for example, there are always some * peeps * who never wash their hands after the toilet ... generally bad when it comes to viruses and bacteria, etc. ... for example cholera ... but you can also get corona!

As for people who were infected and recovered ... the following:
A recovery is when the state of health is back to normal AND if a test for corona is negative. Thanks to the antibodies developed by the body, you are immune to yourself!
However, it is clear and has been proven by science (I'm talking about serious scientific research!) that the virus was later found again in the convalescent people, without these people became ill agan because of their now existing own immunity ... but then could these people "spread" the virus again.

    Conclusion:
Wearing a mask is primarily to reduce the risk of infecting others and only secondarily to infect yourself (because only appropriate medical masks offer such protection).

And your own constitutional freedom to decide for yourself whether I wear a mask or not ... sorry ... irrelevant, because the good of the community is more important than your own right.
And whoever cries about it and complains that it is a legal obligation and sees his freedom inappropriately restricted ... is unfortunately arrogant and selfish and takes away the freedom of all other people to decide for themselves to be infected!

you can wear a mask and assume that, the question is, can you force someone else to where one that does not have the disease or already had it and is no longer contagious just to make you feel better

we can argue if people should wear one, the question is, should it be a crime not too, that is where I draw the line

now I do think businesses can refuse service if one does not where one, that is ther choice

~ We all know what we really want to see at the next press briefing. Trump pulls off his mask , has a cough and sneeze, blows into a tissue then throws it at Jimmy Acosta.
That's the Trump we all know and admire .

Then let me say and ask it this way ...

How do you know you're not infected?
Did you make a test and do you repeat the test every few days?
I mean, not being sick with the symptoms does not mean that you are not infected ... and even if you did a test some days ago that was negative ... you can get infected today and then you can spread the virus around ... or not?

And as I explained, it has been scientifically proven that despite recovery from Corona you can have the virus again ... then you can no longer get sick because of your own immunity ... but you can infect others again!

As long as there is no vaccine, this danger will always exist! And as long as this danger exists ... there must be a legal mask requirement in public.

And those who don't want to stick to it because they see their freedom inappropriately restricted should be punished for potentially endangering others and / or depriving others of the freedom not to want to be infected - POINT!

if people are like me that only come out of their house about once a month and have no symptoms, they do not have it, they may catch it, but they will not give it to anyone on their short trip to say the store

the point is, you can't assume I have it and force me to wear a mask... you can assume I have it and wear a mask to protect yourself

that said, 90% of this country will get the virus, the question is when, so we want to spreed out the cases over time, if you want to be one of the last ones to catch it, that is fine too

I think it's good to wear masks in highly populated areas like grocery stores, and I think the store should require it - but I do not think it should be a law

when I get it, I care that I get it when the medical system is not overburdened, in my city, now is a good time to get it, in TX,FL and CA, I would wear a mask for sure

I can also see why someone on unemployment would want to get it now, vs after they return to work (Trump could pass a law requiring employers give mandatory paid time off of coronavirus cases)

all that said, I think I already got it in December of last year....

some are confused on the goal it seems

the goal is to reduce the number of cases at any one time to a manageable level and spread the cases over a long period of time, thus reducing the curve

the goal has never been to not have any cases, as that means we are in just as much danger next month as this month.... as we have no more herd immunity than the month before

this is why I feel many States did not benefit from the Trump shutdown as their cases were too low for a shutdown

    Wrong ...
Unless you live in total, social isolation and have no contact with anything or anyone who is from "outside" ... you have to assume that you may have the virus.

What you do at home is your thing ... whether you wear a mask in your house or not, whether you walk around naked or not and whether you dye your hair green or not ... it's all up to you. But if you move into the public space where other people move, then you have the duty to wear a mask ... and primarily to protect your fellow human beings from you as potentially infected!

What the hell is wrong with wearing a mask? Does it hurt you and are you in pain? Can't you breathe properly with a mask?

No ... it is only your ego that you do not want anything or anyone to dictate that you have to wear a mask in public space.
And that is ridiculously with all respect ... because I have explained to you in detail why it is important ... for medical and social reasons!

And if there are enough others like you who refuse to wear a mask to protect others, you will quickly have a 90% quota and then we will talk about millions of deaths in the USA!
This happens until there is a vaccine that can be used to vaccinate all people nationwide ... and there is no such vaccine yet!

Only then, as with any vaccination, will there be idiots who refuse to be vaccinated. But that's their problem if they get sick ... and then actually have to be punished for it, or have to pay for the treatment themselves and no insurance or the state pays for it.

Does this mask cause the same brain disorders and symptoms as "I believe Trump every BS and fake news he spreads ... or give a damn whether he is lying ... and a total immunity to unpleasant truths and facts" like this red MAGA cap does cause?

Those with skin in the game disagree with your opinion.

"The stock market roared higher following the report as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 800 points as of 11 a.m. ET. Government bond yields raced higher as well, with the benchmark 10-year Treasury most recently at 0.91%."

The Trump shutdown as you call it was not.mandatory. Governors were free to assess their own situation and several states did not shut down.
