As I said, Mueller evolved into a milquetoast (to use diplomatic terminology) as criticism of the temporal length of the investigation increased and word was leaked that the investigation had expanded from Russian "collusion" (Trump's word) to possible obstruction. By the time Mueller's report became public (redacted as it was), he clearly wanted no part of having to defend himself. As an example, when Mueller finally agreed to appear before Congress, the majority of his answers were a single word with him expounding upon next to nothing.

Regarding your second point, you either didn't read what I linked or you're in denial about it. And to add to what was said in the link, word was Trump first asked McGahn to fire Mueller while in the Oval Office and then not being content with a rejection of his solicitation, he called McGahn at his residence and again advocated that Mueller be fired. Granted, that's mainly hearsay but the reason it remains mainly hearsay is that Trump THEN ordered McGahn not to testify before the House committee prior to the impeachment vote having been taken and McGahn complied.

Future release of a completely unredacted version of the Mueller report and/or a Bolton-type book from McGahn should be very interesting.

Jennifer Rubin is a real idiot. And you linked to a pay site. I don't pay to read Fake News.

“In political journalism, Rubin is openly regarded as a hack and perhaps a shill by an ideologically diverse subset of her peers,” Atlantic columnist Conor Friedersdorf wrote in 2012. Salon named her to its “hack list” two years in a row. (She made number two!) And after onetime Post ombudsman Patrick Pexton left that gig in 2013, he wrote a column in Washington City Paper offering some advice to his old employer—including a strong recommendation that it fire Rubin. “She’s just plain bad.”

In addition to her Post writing, Rubin is particularly good at lobbing liberal-catnip opinions on MSNBC.

Rubin’s fealty to her previous ideas has eroded as she has beaten on Trump. In 2013, she said that only a deep tax cut could stimulate the economy, but in December she ripped Trump’s cut as a “moral and economic monstrosity.” She once opposed the Obama administration’s Iran deal, but now there’s no “no visible, reasonable alternative.” Should the US move its Israeli Embassy to Jerusalem? Rubin loved the concept when Marco Rubio mentioned it. Since then it’s somehow become a symbol of a “non-policy-based foreign policy.”

She's also a bit of an hysterical idiot: She claimed the Dirty Bob Mueller testifying was a BIG BID deal, and it was a nothing burger other than revealing that Dirty Bob was a complete farce who wasn't even familiar with the case or the investigation that it was claimed he was running.

Barr on the other hand is a both a Patriot and a Godsend.

Flynn’s treatment by the Obama administration’s Corrupt FBI and DOJ is a case study in how administrative elites, charged with executing the law, undermined the very rule of law. Our country was founded on fundamental republican principles: equal rights, individual liberty, and the consent of the governed. These sacred rights are secured, protected, and perpetuated by our civilization’s greatest political achievement: the constitutional rule of law. And while often taken for granted, the peaceful and unobstructed transition of power from one presidential administration to the next, frequently from the control of one political party to its political opposition, is the crown jewel of the American constitutional system.

Until Barr, no headway was being made to restore the rule of law from the destruction we endured during the lawless Obama misAdministration.

Thanks, first actual laugh of the day.

So instead of talking about how the more than a thousand former JD guys are idiots, you take the easy way out.

    Figures.

But I do love the Reversi World writing. But it's kind of lazy, don't ya think, simply reversing reality like that?

Rubin is a Republican and as someone who loves her country, she's just as much a "patriot" as Barr. So are all these other Republicans: https://lincolnproject.us/ For that matter, so is every Democrat who loves his or her country. (Nancy Pelosi, "patriot." Adam Schiff, "patriot.")

Since I said nothing about Michael Flynn, where did that paragraph come from?

Speaking of fake news, or "Fake News" as you call it, I follow Michael Smirconish because he makes a concerted effort at political moderation. On his SiriusXM show several days after Trump spoke at West Point, Smirconish related having watched "The Five" the prior day. (Disclosure: Although I do watch some Fox programming, I don't watch that show.) According to Smirconish, T5 tore into those who questioned whether Trump's actions might suggest that he too could be suffering from the pre-dementia difficulties of which he accuses Joe Biden. Smirconish said T5 asserted the water glass questioning of Trump was completely bogus and then showed a video of it - while deleting the portion where Trump steadied the glass by putting his other hand on it!

It went straight to the obvious. You shot the messenger because you have nothing to say about the message.

Except to pretend it was fake.

Her claims were word salad. When dealing with innuendo and slander free of testable statements nothing further is required than pointing that out.

    1250 prosecutors think otherwise.

But then they do know what they're talking about.

The truth is we don't know what happened behind the scenes. It is perfectly possible - even likely - that Berman had agreed to resigned and changed his mind. Barr is not a stupid man.

How many prosecutors agree? Your 1250 is a tiny percentage of the total.

That strikes me as quite unlikely.

After the election, we should know more.

Considering that some of the fired were Trump supporters, like Berman, who wouldn't violate their oath of office, I doubt you've got many toadies like Barr.

It's a simple observation that we both are working with incomplete information.

An explanation should not have been needed.

    2. a fanciful expression in writing or speech; an elaborate metaphor.

What you seem to be saying is that you've forgotten that you spend much of your time trolling.
