From Reuters: Thousands of U.S. judges who broke laws or oaths remained on the bench

    Excerpt:
A sickening but Good Read if you believe that any democracy with Unequal Justice is one gone awry. Which is what happens when one of the three pillars* of any democracy goes wrong, wrong wrong.

The application of the law needs oversight in America regardless of the level, local, state or national.
Judges must come before the law when they promote injustice in any way ... !

    *Executive, Legislative, Judicial

I wonder when the BLM movement will turn their attention away from police and start demanding accountability from the other actors in the law enforced system: judges and prosecutors.

Somehow I doubt their "keepers" will let them look in that direction.

    A LONGER LIFESPAN

What is shameful is that we Yanks do not comprehend that justice is not only an attribute of society that is found in courts. A "just country" has a sense of fairness and equitability.

What does that mean. It doesn't mean we all make the same salary, as Communism had proposed. It means that salaries are different but there is no excess accumulation of Wealth.

Key word - WEALTH. Beyond a certain level of Income Wealth is of little consequence to lifestyle. How many Rolls-Royces can one own. How many huge estates can one own? The millions or billions that one may posses can't make them any happier or their lifestyle any better. They cant buy a longer lifespan either.

We all must go when we have to go ...

That's a very interesting comment, but I don't know what you mean. Can you elaborate? Thanks.

Well, as per the article, it seems to be an issue confined to the Obama administration. Gee, imagine that ...

    There, I said it.

It seems that we Americans, who love to think that America is a fair&just country, must realize that such is not the case. It is NOT as just and fair as it should be or could be.

And whyzat? Because as a nation of people - and for whatever the reason - we have come to believe that the accumulation of riches is the sum-mum of human achievement. Well, it aint.

In any country with a capitalist economy there is the possibility to "luCk out" and make one helluva lottta muney. That should not be permitted. But, the ability to do so became The American Dream when upper-income taxation became to fall from the year 1964. See the history of upper-income taxation here. In that year, upper-income taxation dropped from 91% to 77% and continued downwards to the present day when they are at 37%.

This reduction over the years since 1964 has led to the generation of a s SUPER-class of individuals. And for what?

Had upper-income taxation remained high, we could have chosen to build a National Healthcare System and free Post-secondary Education that would have bettered out lives. But we didn't!

Europe, recovering from a devastating war, decided to do exactly that. And, as a witness of that fact - because I live in France - I can only say it is a Great Shame that Uncle Sam did not do the same!

Maybe it's time to think about that prospect once again, such that America better's itself in a Very New World that the Information Age has forced upon us ... ?

Short of the united states taking the route of a blood revolution, perhaps the most violent and bloodiest of revolutions to be seen in the modern world, no difference will ever be achieved. Corruption is so firmly entrenched at all levels of government, there is simply no way of getting away from it. There if simply nothing that can be done, as no one is truly willing to invest the amount of work and effort needed.

In the end, all that will be done is meaning griping, useless complaining, and ultimately quiet acceptance of the system being what it is, while hoping the system does not focus upon them for all of the commotion they caused in their vocal but impotent outrage.

WHY THE US IS NOT AS DEMOCRATIC AS IT COULD BE

This has happened a number of times in the history of the US. It simply means that Americans must "get their act together" and vote-in the right sort of government that will reinvigorate our precious democracy that has gone awry.th century19th

That can happen as well next November. Of course, if Americans want "more of the same", they can have that too. (Stoopid is as stoopid does.)

I will repeat the basic-truth once again. DONALD DORK DID NOT WIN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION POPULAR-VOTE! Why in heavens name was he elected PotUS?

For the answer, more Americans must learn about how a PotUS gets elected - because it is not at all like how any other politician does so. Barely had the US become a republic, in 1812 the Electoral College was created. For the presidency, its election-rules were very different from any other political election in the country.

And this was done with the well-desired purpose of "manipulating the popular-vote" in a country that had (at the time in the early 19th century) absorbed many migrant people. Which meant to some that the voting-population was "not right for a true-democracy" because of its uneducated class of voters. So, it was decided to create an Electoral College that instituted (1) the winner-take-all rule of voting and (2) fiddled the number of votes that the College reported to Congress. (Which meant quite simply that if you voted for the loser, your vote was thrown into the dust-bin.)

    From here:
How Donald Trump Could Steal the Election

    Excerpt:
Article II of our precious Constitution is therefore the reason that the presidential vote is not as democratic as it should be. The vote should be the pure popular-vote simply sent to Congress that adds the votes and announces the winner of the presidency. But, it isn't. As you may know, there is significant trickery in the Electoral College vote.

Here is explained how: Why the Electoral College is the absolute worst, explained - excerpt:
We pride ourselves in being the world's First Democracy. But, we aren't. Not yet, and not until we fix-the-manipulation of the popular-vote by the Electoral College as explained in the article linked above ...

A wealth cap would in theory lead to the universal salary proposed in communism. Assuming said wealth cap will prevent the more wealthy from monopolizing their wealth (which is a false presumption but the one most oft cited as support for it), everyone will eventually reach the cap, and communism will have been achieved.
