I don't see anything inaccurate with that statement. Can you dispute that Chicago isn't a large Democrat minority run city with a huge crime rate that is full of armed criminals?

I love how you framed your question with a built in excuse for all the murdering in Chicago - poverty.

How does poverty make one person kill another? Not only are there poor people all over this country, but also throughout the world, and they're not murdering people at rates seen in democrat cities like St Louis, Baltimore, Detroit, New Orleans and Chicago. The left also loves to state that red states take more money from the feds than blue states with the implication that red states have more people living in poverty than blue states, yet it's the blue cities who are murdering each other.

Another funny thing is illegals, who can't legally work, don't murder each other at the rates seen in blue cities. I'm betting they're not rich, so the poverty excuse is now out the window.

My solution would be:

1. If you're on Welfare then both the baby momma and daddy get sterilized until they're off of it.
2. Stop with the eternal brainwashing that somehow people are victims because of something that ended a long time ago which only can be righted by handing them freebies. This not only causes them to depend on those freebies, but it justifies in their mind illegally taking stuff when they can't get it for free.
3. Get a job
4. Come down hard on gangs
5. Vigorously enforce stop and frisk
6. Stern prison sentences for violent crimes
7. Faster implementation of the death penalty. Sitting 20 years on death row is not a deterrent. Execute the guy while all his friends and family still know who he is and haven't forgotten about him.
8. Get an education.
9. STOP BLAMING OTHERS FOR YOUR OWN PROBLEMS AND MISTAKES. YOUR OWN FAILURES IN LIFE ARE NOT BECAUSE OF RACISM.

More police? Make the inner city an occupied territory? Expect much citizen cooperation? Actually crime is down in Chicago except for homicide and assault which having more police will not prevent. They get there after the fact. "Stop and frisk" has been ruled unconstitutional and didn't correlate with reducing crime but it did alienate the population that police were sworn to protect. "Broken Windows" was bunk.

You have a few suggestions:

First tear up the constitution. Forced sterilization and Stop and Frisk

Tell them to straighten up and fly right: get a job, keep it in your pants, graduate, buy a belt.....how's that worked out so far?

More prison time. We have the highest incarceration rate in the world....how's that worked out so far?

Breaking up gangs requires social out reach and the police.

Pull the social safety net. No, that won't make the crime rate go through the roof and we all like seeing starving kids and more homelessness. Soweto sounds nice.

 

It worked miraculously in NYC. The NYPD got 35% larger, and crime plunged.

Homicide and and assault is out of control in Chicago, and homicide and assault plunged in NYC when the NYPD was beefed up, and they started in with aggressive policing tactics.

Democrat politicians hate "Stop and Frisk" and "Broken Windows", because it worked far too well, and it was an embarrassment that aggressive policing miraculously stopped the crime that progressive policies only made worse(see NYC today).

As far as police getting their "after the fact"- that can be eliminated by proactive, rather than reactive, police patrols, and also ShotSpotter-
