Heh, so you want to tell them: "But.. why are you burning my car when the Danes just across the bridge blow up your towns?" Maybe you should have a couple of train tickets ready to give them next time you see some MENA kids burning cars or beating up someone (when they reopen the border, that is). Not to give them any ideas, but Copenhagen's Vesterbro neighbourhood is where the rich and progressive Copenhageners live. It's not a suggestion... just an observation. *whistles innocently*

That little boy having a pee that the Belgians make such a fuss about is tiny too. ;)

Well, not tell them but I certainly am thinking it.

I don't need to give them any train tickets. I live just the other end of the Öresund bridge so one really hard kick in their röv ought to do the job. Maybe I can give them directions to the next koran-tossing event.

    The whole sculpture.
I know size isn't everything but it wasn't very impressive.
I was spoilt for travel as a child though, we went all over Europe on camping trips and saw a lot of the sights.
Compared to the leaning tower of Pisa or the Bridge of Sighs it was lacking in the cultural icon stakes.
I don't want to upset any Belgians here just my humble opinion.

I never saw any rune carvings, unfortunately. The copper roofs of Copenhagen seen from a church tower, Hans Christian Anderson's house and Tivoli gardens are the things I remember. Also Legoland.
I was probably about 8 or 9 though so there's probably loads of interesting things I've forgotten.
    Possibly before you were born.

Yes, I know what you mean. But the manikanpis isn't supposed to be anything other than a whimsical fountain curiosity. The mermaid, however, is supposed to represent a "real" creature that ancient mariners believed in so you'd expect for it to be "life-sized". Of course, naming this one "little" mermaid refers to Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale of the same name so I guess there is a fair explanation. People tend to expect a mermaid rather than a "little" mermaid ............. despite its name.

I rather think this to be satire, that they're pointing out the absurdity of all these statue attacks,

I am content simply sitting for an hour at a café in Hellerup with a view of Frederiksborgs slott.

We weren't talking about bankruptcy, we were talking about freedom? And it's not Trump's fault COVID happened?

this country was headed to a depression before covid, if anything covid might have pushed it back a couple years

Err, that's a completely different argument, if it had went bankrupt under a Dem president would you say the same? Really, you somehow think Covid benefitted the economy?

yep, and in fact I am saying covid pushed it a couple years... so it will be under Biden it goes BK, unless he can reverse the course Trump and Bush set us on

yes, dumping Trillions into the economy will keep it afloat a couple more years, we can keep dumping trillions in to keep it afloat, but eventually it crashes

so I guess your saying it benefited the economy, I am saying is delayed the crash

What would you have said if he hadn't done that? That he didn't care whilst America suffered?

some say Trump did not address the virus in order to dump those trillions into the economy, thus delay the crash until the next guy

I am saying Trump should have addressed our economic issue earlier vs giving massive tax cuts to the mega corps

3 things trump should of done

    1. raise the min wage
    2. reduce foreign outsourcing
    3. reduce foreign imports (he tried to work on this but took on more than he could chew)

I think that's a conspiracy theory, put that up with FDR knowing about Pearl Harbour and RR delaying the freeing of the Iran hostages.

Possibly so, I had concerns with his economic policy too but surely not in the Covid bailout, you had to avoid firms going to the wall so they would still be there when the lockdown ends.

for the covid bailout, I think more should have gone to the working class, less to the mega corps

Got to ask, who provides the most jobs and pays the more tax? Also you can't save small businesses if their large suppliers go broke and they have no products to sell?

when the people have money, the rich create jobs to get that money.... that is the way it always works, if no one is spending, you can give a corp millions, and they will not create any new jobs

But it will keep it afloat so that when it ends they can employ people.
