You still cant answer the question. How do you separate a hate of skin color with a hate of the culture that goes with the skin color? Personally, I hate a lot of black culture and Mexican culture. That doesn't mean that I'm racist. It means that I find most TV shows about black people to be stupid. I hate hip hop. I hate ranchero music. I also hate Swedish death metal. Does that mean I hate all white people? I deal with my hate of that stuff by not watching it or not listening to it. That's the proper way to deal with something you don't like. I don't go out and demand that they change their culture to suit me. Are you going to judge a person by the words of a supporter? If so, I suppose Biden has promoted all of the riots, burnings, cop killing, etc. Is that how you judge a person? Hey that cop killer supports Biden. Biden must be a cop killer!
I think it does. And I think is does because you're just splitting peas to the point that it's utterly ridiculous and all aimed to claim you aint a racist while still being able to say you hate the same entire group of ethnic people because the ethnic things they do. That's like saying... I got no problems with Muslims, just Islam. You can't separate that. I haven't seen Biden support the idea to burn buildings down and kill cops. That's just far right wing nonsense.
You know democrats will never agree to that. If anything they will make it harder to get concealed weapons permits and guns and ammo
So I can like Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz, Chuck Berry and hate Drake, Pusha T, or Eminem and now I'm racist? I can like Morgan Freeman and hate Sparks and that qualifies me as racist? No, It's like saying "I have no problem with my neighbor Muhammad because he's a great guy but I hate Islam because they blow up innocent people." There is a difference and I can separate the two.
Stop passing so many laws and regulations then enforce them by compelling the police to do so. It ain't the cops that are on whim interacting with citizens too often. Councils, agencies, commissions and legislatures write the laws and through empowering clauses dictate the actions the police must take to enforce the law. Politicians caused the problems and only they can untangle the web to reduce the problems. Too many stupid petty rules, mainly continued once started because of the revenue they create. Blame the correct mother ****ers.
Cops or anyone else failing to provide the services they were hired and trained and paid to perform is a crime, if nothing else it's theft of services.
Cops do the job they are commanded to do. They see an infraction they are by statue required to enforce they do. The problem is they are required to enforce laws and rules that put them at odds with normal workaday citizens. Too many laws are pretty and only maintained for the revenue they produce. This creates, over time, an image and respect problem that spills over into a general distrust. People have begun to view cops as an everyday burden to avoid not a service or protection to call on. Simple case in point, auto tag or registration renewal. This is pure revenue collection and creation using a cop, or man with a gun, to collect not only a small past due fee but to quadruple the amount with a court citation. Why? The DMV bills anyway and files with the Department of Taxes to collect the amount from tax returns of delinquent fees and fines. No need for the stop to begin with. We've introduced a man with a gun into a citizens life to compel payment of $25 bucks. Then to add insult to injury the officer strokes a ticket that adds $150 to to the broke citizen's misery. Now the broke azz citizen who can't pay the $25 renewal tag fee can't pay for the ticket either. Next month while driving to work same cop pulls citizen broke azz over and guess what? The poor slob now gets cuffed and locked up for a misdemeanor criminal charge for driving with a suspended license. All for a $25 late tax payment! This builds mistrust that builds into hate. Cops are just doing the job as they are paid to preform, right? It's f'n stupid. Save the sworn officers and use of police powers for crimes, not revenue production that make their very presence hated. This is our fault and we need to correct our aim. Focus on the officials that use the police in this way. City council members, county commissioners and legislatures. People hate cops for good reason but their anger is misdirected. Think it through to a solution. Make cops good guys, get em out of workaday citizens lives.
I think that is part of the problem with leftists. They're unable to compartmentalize. They see one thing that they think is bad/evil and it becomes all consuming and covers everything about a person/group. Real or imagined.
Killing will once again be a last resort, vs a first response.... police abuse will be punishable, all cops will be required to wear copcams
why can't we forfeiture the rich and mega corps when they are caught breaking the law like we do drug dealers caught cheating in the stock market... lose everything cause scamming consumers... lose everything price gouging a drug.... lose everything
Rich people are just as subject to forfeiture laws as anyone else. What makes you think they're not? As for everything gone? Why do you want rich people punished more than anyone else? According to forfeiture laws the things that are confiscated are things that were gotten through the illicit means they were gotten for. And price gouging a drug is not illegal. Unethical perhaps, but not illegal. And I noticed that you didn't answer my question. Want to give it a try?
only for drug crimes.... make it for all crimes of profit we already do it for drug crimes, we can do it for corporate crimes too... corporations are people too right? why don't you want all people treated equal?
Happens for more than drug crimes. Happens with fraud also. Embezzlement, and other things. Care to answer my question?
nope, they do not take everything like with drug cases, they will take your home, your car, your cash with drug cases
So if we don't accept being murdered by the police we shouldn't expect them to protect us from being murdered by other people? You're rather clearly implying that, even if you're not saying it outright and please let's avoid a semantic argument.
Same with other types of crimes when warranted. It's just felt more by poorer people because the don't have as much as rich people. But I see you're ignoring my question. I'm assuming because you realize what a dumb statement that other poster made?
Two cases of unjustified killings by cops in 2019. Pretty sure you have nothing to worry about. The odds of you getting shot and killed by a cop for anything is negligible. 1004 cases of cops killing someone in 2019. 1002 were justified. Out of over a million police interactions in the same year. Take a chill pill.
