Trump doesn't have what's required to make his foreign policy work.

You can look up the report.

Over two thousand classified emails on her server. One of which is a classification above Top Secret. A server not certified for classified material and located in a non-secure location.

With your expertise on classified material, explain how this is legal.

She did what Colin Powell did. While there were new rules, the bureaucracy had not not fully implemented them. Which is why no one at State called her on it.

Beyond that, the head of State is given broad leeway to do the job. It has to be that way.

Much ado about not much... it's just old propaganda...

Colin Powell did not have his own server. The rules on handling classified material have been there for decades. Those rules were in place long before she became secretary of state.

Seeing as he wants to bring up Hillary's emails let's not forget Trump's call for a Russia hack.
"Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," Trump told a roomful of TV cameras and reporters. "I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let’s see if that happens."
As it turns out, that same day, the Russians, whether they had tuned in or not, made their first effort to break into the servers used by Hillary's personal office.

Those two thousand e-mails were “up-classified” to make them Confidential; the information in those had not been classified at the time the e-mails were sent.

more fake news propaganda. powell did not have a private server he used. Nor did he solely use a private server for govt business. He used his own email account a handful of times. He also didn’t use it to transmit classified material.

As a general rule, over time classified material tends to be declassified. Seldom do they get upgraded later because over time they tend to lose their value.

Hilary said none of the emails were classified. That was not true.

Hilary said none were classified at the time. That was not true.

Hilary said none were marked as classified. That was not true.

Powell bypassed official servers and used his private email to email foreign leaders.

Not being a Powell fan, I have not paid much attention to him. However, he claimed that the very few classified emails he sent as private emails were errors rather than intentionally setting up a server which handled classified material.

Although the IG's report identified violations, it said investigators had found “no persuasive evidence of systemic, deliberate mishandling of classified information.”

    Yes.

It's worth mentioning that while most of the government was hacked, she was not...

nope, he used a private email account a few times, never classified material and all captured on official servers.

not in the same league as to what clinton did.

this also happened in the late 90s when tech was newer and govt was catching up clinton knew better what she did was intentional and she repeatedly lied about it

you are attempting to try and rewrite history...it won’t work

Strzok, you remember Strzok, right?. He changed the report from Gross Negligence to Extremely Careless, which let her off the hook. It did not change the fact that it was all against the law.

They do not know whether she was hacked. The FBI said it was likely that she was hacked. Her system lacked the ability to detect hacks because it was not monitored continuously.

"When she became secretary of state, the controlling interpretation of the 1950 Federal Records Act was that officials using personal email accounts must ensure that official correspondence is turned over to the government. Ten months after she took office, a new regulation allowed the use of private emails only if federal records were "preserved in the appropriate agency recordkeeping system".

Mrs Clinton maintains that this requirement was satisfied because most of her emails from her personal account went to, or were forwarded to, people with government accounts, so they were automatically archived. Any other emails were turned over to State Department officials when they issued a request to her - and several of her predecessors - in October 2014.

In November 2014 President Barack Obama signed the Presidential and Federal Records Act Amendments, which require government officials to forward any official correspondence to the government within 20 days. Even under this new law, however, the penalties are only administrative, not criminal"

As I said, much ado about not much.

Btw, Trump is doing basically the same thing by not using government phones... this is roughly a million times more serious because other countries are listening.

I think asking Russia to hack political opponents should be against the law.

None of that changes the fact that emails were transmitted, received and stored on a server which was not certified or properly protected for classified material. That law was in place when I entered the Air Force in 1959 and has not change since.

I said the same thing at the time. They were looking for Hilary's missing emails. I said that Russia probably already had them. Just ask them.
