If it is accurate that the city of Seattle issued a permit to block I-5, whoever gave the order to issue the permit should be criminally charged.

But it is hard for me to believe that anybody issued a permit to stretch old wrecks across the lanes of an interstate federal highway during hours of darkness.

The driver who struck the women is totally innocent of doing anything wrong.

 

When the Highway Patrol shuts down the interstate highway here, for an accident or cargo spill -- no "protests" so far, police vehicles block the entire roadway with emergency lights spinning brightly, day or night. There may be one lane open with an officer hand signaling traffic orders to motorists. But they exert entire CONTROL over the situation.

If you block an interstate highway on your own you're most likely soon going to be singing slowly and bringing flowers for those who ended lowly. That is, if it's not you supine on the satin.

 

Seattle is apparently being run by total morons.

The Seattle paper article I read said he drove around vehicles blocking entry to the highway. He was intending to do damage.

I knocked on a door at 11:30 pm the other night, their utillity trailer was blocking a residential road, one full lane and most of the other, no lights and dark. I debated if I should knock, but the porch light just turned off. It looked to me like someone was trying to steal it but got scared. It was only a matter of time until someone ran into it.

 

The guy was driving recklessly on what he thought was an abandoned highway.

 

Could be. Anytime the interstate is blocked off here it is done by the Highway Patrol with local LE help, and with so many flashing emergency lights it cannot possibly be missed night or day. It looks like the protesters had diddly squat safety on I-5 Freeattle, not even reflective vests -- it looks like they did this all by themselves to themselves. Not a lick of common sense.

It is illegal here to be a hitchhiker, pedestrian, or bicyclist on the interstate, and it is enforced. The only valid reason to be on an interstate highway is traveling in a motor vehicle.

 

That's racist! If the driver was black, why was he arrested??
If the victims were white, we know it was their fault. If they were black, we know it was an unfortunate accident.
Injustice here- probably see the police station burn tonight, maybe a few department stores. Yeah. that will help.

Makes me wonder if the person was in a panic, and that's why he didn't watch where he was driving. Was he drunk, or high on drugs?

 

It's Democrats, they can protest, riot, loot and get away with it. Where as the TEA party Conservatives protesting peacefully was painted as hoofed demons. Even the people peacefully protesting to end the state shutdowns were vilified by the press.

The dems are treated with kid gloves, even when they damaged over 1,500 buildings in Minneapolis, and shot dozens of people, the media sill calls them "mostly peaceful."

 

Whatever was him problem, lets just hope that particular Black Lives Matter protest results in putting a black man in jail for a very long time.

 

If these were right wing protests, the leftist media would be tabulating and trumpeting the property damage done down to the penny.

 

The media sure as hell would not call the protests mostly peaceful, that is for damn sure. Even when no one is assaulted, and no buildings damaged, the news media stirs up hate and instills irrational fear, over any demonstration which is even vaguely associated with Republicans.
