So now we fight the Russians in Afghanistan. What a great idea. We should definitely do this we haven't had a new quagmire in a while. Meanwhile the democrats position has now shifted to Trump and Putin are best buds and enemies at the same time so Trump has to go to war with Russia while at the very same time he's a Russian agent.

I did not vote for Trump. I hold him in very low regard.

And the lesson to be learned is that governments frequently lie so that war can be waged.

Many learned that lesson from the Pentagon Papers delivered by the whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg

The media never talks about those lessons.

Yes I love the smoke and mirrors too.

    Update:

US walks back claim Russia put bounties on troops — but no Biden apology to Trump

Anyone who knows the way the US operates, and how our diplomatic planes are packed with dollar bills and delivered in different parts of the world as bribes, would realize that it's pure projection by our government and its media.

Russia doesn't have a money making machine, so where would they get the dollars to bribe the Taliban with? They're not going to take Rubles, it's not an international currency. Also why would Vladimir Putin want to kill American soldiers? He's very pragmatic as well as patriotic and moral, so what gain would there be for Russia?

These accusations are as stupid as those about Assad using chemical weapons when his army was winning a battle, so that our jets can bomb them to support ISIS and even out the playing field to keep the war going on. Those are Washington's words, not mine.

Like the rest of the fake news, this was just another attempt to deceive the American people and demonize Vladimir Putin for not bowing to Washington's interests.

Seems to me possible that some Taliban or Al Qaeda prisoner did indeed tell some American operative during a post-capture debriefing that he had heard scuttlebutt that "there is this Russian in Kabul who offered my friend money for killing Americans," but i's also possible-to-likely that no one could confirm it one way or the other. That's why the Pentagon is now saying it's confidence level in this b.s. is not high. How could it be?

I enjoyed watching Jake Tapper confront the execrable Alan Schiff with the suggestion that Trump correctly labeled this a hoax all along. Hillary Clinton was foaming at the mouth about it on the Joy Reid show. (Can you magine her as president? I'd almost prefer Joy Reid to HRC.)

Dos anyone have a link to the Times reporting that Trump was never briefed on this Russian bounty business in the first place? There's reference to it above, but I don't see the link.

Yes, it is the new Russia Collusion story.
Guess you haven't heard the latest abut the collusion.
US says Russia was given Trump campaign polling data in 2016
So if the Trump Campaign gave polling data to Russia to use on thier attack on the 2016 election, what would that be called? If not collusion.

Well that's not part of this topic, but I wonder why it's coming back to life now? We've known for years that Manafort had shared that polling data. Now it's a "new" story...and still has nothing to do with Russian Collusion. Ah what thin reeds you conspiracy theorists hang on to!

The United States via President Carter, secretly funded the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan which cost the lives of countless Russian soldiers and aided in the collapse of the Soviet Union. During that time, the worldwide Al-Qaida terrorist network was formed to funnel money and freedom fighters into Afghanistan. One of those freedom fighters was Osama Bin Laden. After Russia vacated, the Al-Qaida network and Bin Laden remained active and eventually brought the 9/11 attack to the United States. At any rate, even if it were true that Putin paid bounties to kill American soldiers. It would be nowhere near what the Democrat President of the United States caused Russia to suffer in Afghanistan. It should be noted that Russia didn't invade Afghanistan, but was invited by the Afghan government to strengthen it against rebels. Russia was not prepared to fight a drawn out war with a heavily funded resistance. The sole purpose of our funding the Mujahedeen was to bankrupt Russia, not help the Afghans. Nor did we care one whit for the deaths of so many brave Russian soldiers, who like ours were the pride of their families and nation.

And the Biden administration admitted this week it was a media hoax as Trump said at the time.

And false. Saddam not only had WMD he had used them and had hidden WMD and the materials he need to rebuild his arsenal once the sanctions were lifted and the inspections ended. Even the Clinton administration unequivocally stated the as long as Saddam was in power he would be a WMD threat to his own people, the region and the world.

Your claims are just another example of the Dem/MSM twisting the news and there engaging in propaganda.
