Well, they really do prefer an authoritarian "daddy" figure because a democratically run society is way too confusing and scary for them. Many, if not most, would have been loyalists to the throne and a generational aristocracy within a system of serfs and lords.
I say it was an uplifting speech. In fact, in the context of cities burning, statues being torn down, a pandemic, and high unemployment, it was almost a historic speech. Anyone who thinks otherwise should stop reading the news reports of the speech. "News" reports filled with a lot of negative editorializing are everywhere. The so-called objective journalist just can't help themselves.
God love PRESIDENT Trump. He does know how to get under the skin of leftist, democrats, the MSN and those who hate America.
Another great example is that Trump has been labeling the Russia bounty story a hoax. Last week, on Twitter, he wrote: "The Russia Bounty story is just another made up by Fake News tale that is told only to damage me and the Republican Party. The secret source probably does not even exist, just like the story itself. If the discredited [New York Times] has a source, reveal it. Just another HOAX!" But today, he has announced an investigation for leakers. How can there be leakers if the leakers don't exist?
Well, because the story as written was indeed a hoax. There was unverified intelligence that was leaked and presented as fact before it was confirmed to be false. Someone leaked raw intel, NYT didnt verify anything, cooked a hoax story because of their desperation to damage Trump in any way and now its all fallen apart.
If only that weren't his only strength. And if only his supporters would learn that it isn't "hating America" to criticize the President. They'll suddenly remember that fact the next time there is a Dem in office, I guess.
