When you federal budget is based on illness then it only makes sense bending numbers to help justify a bigger budget. :)

Total crackpot website. In any case, even if what is alleged is true, counting both RT-PCR and antibody tests would only be a problem if patients who had both tests done and both were positive are double counted. However, I doubt that there are significant numbers in that category, since there is no sense to do an antibody test when one has already been diagnosed with acute covid. The only issue is the relatively high false positive rate of current antibody tests.

In any case, with +35 million RT-PCR tests having been done, I doubt antibody tests significantly contribute to the total case number.

In a time of universal deception, speaking the truth becomes a radical act.

When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.

Thus you start with calling Lew Rockwell a crackpot website, even as you swallow whole the nonsense and fear put out by the known liars at MSM.

Why is it deception? If both RT-PCR and antibody tests were 100% accurate, and double positives are counted only once, the sum of positives from both tests would actually give us an accurate number of the total covid cases. Why are you afraid of that number? Because it makes trump look bad?

So he is not a crackpot? How would we know? He certainly writes like an alarmist crackpot.

    I'm not afraid of numbers.

Some numbers have valid meaning, some numbers do not.

Garbage in = garbage out. It's old news

Bad data, bad numbers when presented as good are deception. Potentially honest leaders are given bad information and make bad decisions.

    Is that difficult to understand?

Obama had to clean up the mess Bush left behind at the CDC.

    Biden, same story.

“Several states—including Pennsylvania, the site of one of the country’s largest outbreaks, as well as Texas, Georgia, and Vermont—are blending the data in the same way. Virginia likewise mixed viral and antibody test results until last week, but it reversed course and the governor apologized for the practice after it was covered by the Richmond Times-Dispatch and The Atlantic. Maine similarly separated its data on Wednesday; Vermont authorities claimed they didn’t even know they were doing this.”

'How could they make that mistake?'

On purpose, is the likliest answer.

If you had actual knowledge and experience, you would know that he himself writes very damn little there. 99% of what is published is by others.

But you don't. You like to judge books by their covers, which makes you pretty much a typical American on the internet, biased in favor of corporate and government authority.

I will read practically anything, so that makes me weird. I read practically anything, and practice Caveat Emptor.

    Indeed.

But do you have a significant difference to show us?

There are many facts, but you don't want to discuss them. You don't like to discuss the financial incentives for Covid diagnosis, and you don't like to discuss how far off "the experts" have been for 6 months running.

Sweep it under the (original) rug.

There is a learning curve with a new disease.

Beyond that, I haven't seen anything worth taking seriously.

And the only thing you do take seriously is what the heads on TV tell you to take seriously. Yes, you da man!

Which, oddly enough, hasn't happened at all.

    Hmm.
