No, we're where we are because people have refrained from using facts. Facts "hurt" people who want to cling to a narrative. At no point, when this was identified in 2019, or when they called the FBI was it ever a noose.

It's sad that this is coming from the party that once had Obama as President: "You can have your own opinions, but you can't have your own facts." There is no such thing as a "non-workable noose", either it was one or it wasn't(and it clearly wasn't)

 

Plus, "nooses" are for hanging people, and nobody is going to try to hang themselves from a garage door pull, that would be the dumbest hanging attempt ever. You'd probably be more likely to end up with a concussion from pulling the door down on your head.

 

They are calling it a "non functioning" noose, what do you think that means? It means it can't function like a noose, because it isn't one! It's a rope, with a knot in it. A loose knot at that when you blow up the picture.

It's clearly a noose and not a simple loop. A simple loop or knot would have worked just as well and taken a lot less time to make.
