Then why didn't Carlson go after her for her opinion but lied about her patriotism!

 

She disparages America every chance she gets. It seems to be the thing to do as a Democrat these days, disparage our founding fathers. Biden's campaign said that he "is forced to agree that America was fundamentally flawed from the beginning and remains so today." Democrats hate America. Funny how when Obama was president, Mount Rushmore was praised, but today it's a site that some dems are talking about taking down.

On a side note, where is Obama's halo? Maybe this was too early in his campaign, and photographers were not yet obsessed with trying to get photos that showed a halo or an other worldly aura surrounding their Messiah.

 

She was patriotic back in the day. She was injured in 2004, and there was a lot of patriotism back then. Now of course the US is systemically racist. Why would any young person join the military now, according to Duckworth, we have a traitor for president who colluded with the Russians as a puppet for Putin.

 

Ignoring America's weaknesses and mistakes is anti America. The founding fathers, right there in the preamble to the Constitution, declared their desire to "Create a more perfect Union". You cannot perfect something by turning a blind eye to it's warts just because they're American warts.

 

You must have missed the point. Carlson refused to disagree with her on what she but just decided to question her patriotism. I question Carlson's integrity based on what he said about Duckworth.

 

Well we disagree. Agreeing to "talk" about something so fundamental means she thinks Washington is negotiable. He's not.

Aenator Duckworth likes to think that nobody can oppose her political agenda, and if they do, they just don't understand the basis of her positions because of her military service and sacrifice.

In an interesting turn, most progressive liberals will say they love America too, but want to tear down its history and fundamentally change its future.

Simple! Carlson instead of arguing her opinion that our economy should restricted instead attacked Sen. Duckworth's patriotism. Actually lied about her patriotism.

 

What she wants to discuss is outside what is called the "Overton Window". Saying she thinks tearing down statues of George Washington a topic worthy of discussion is outrageous. Now, some think it is not. Let them deal with that. Me and mine? Like having a discussion if I should let Joe Biden sniff and assault my daughter. There is nothing to discuss.
What we see happening here is a larger problem. The Left is accused of having spokespeople that are used like human shields. You have a Gretta what's her face tell us we're deplorable if we don't let authoritarians slaughter our families and we're not supposed talk back cuz she's a kid? Now this Senator lost her legs so it's O.K. for her to say the despicable thing she said cuz you're not allowed to respond due to her status? Sorry. That wont work anymore. What she said was despicable and unworthy of someone who would lead this nation. She should resign.

What "despicable" thing did Duckworth say? And who said one CAN'T respond to her if she did say something "Despicable"? What I and most others are saying is, given her 22 years of military service it's asinine to say she "hates" America. You really think someone would spend 22 years of their life in the military of a country they "hated"? Come on now....no one can possibly believe that.

 

I'm surprised that you think hearing an opposing position would do anything other than increase your IQ. I won't bring up the vision of a head in the sand.

 

The only reason that I tune in to Fox News once in a great while is to see who spinsers them, so that I'll know which businesses to boycott. One must use caution, though ... watching too much Faux News can cause brain damage.

 

Carlson's angry and ignorant rhetoric should make anyone with more than a few brain cells sick to their stomachs. Have you ever fact-checked him? I have, which is why I know damn well there's nothing new to learn there.

The "Dead Traitors" is being attributed to our founding fathers and George Washington in particular. She also thought that it was OK to discuss tearing down statues of the "father of our Nation".
You can respond to what she wrote calling her despicable, but what you yourself are writing is about her identity, as if that is a topic to discuss rather than what she actually said. It is a diversion. People on both sides of the debate should push the identity issue aside quickly and stick to the topic.
As for her service, some, like say, priests, are devout. Don't recall the film but in it, a priest in the movie has lost his faith but keeps his job. Why? He finds the job a good fit for him. Maybe, without giving a damn about this country, this Senator is in the same position. What she said showed a great deal of hatred for this country and Tucker is asking how people that hate us can lead us. Instead of talking about the issue, we are being distracted, talking about her identity. I hope that will not work anymore.

 

I tend to agree with him most of the time but that's just me. He is not in the fact business. He is in the opinion business.
