Says you:) Seems people are interpreting monuments and statues however they see fit and it it offends anyone no matter how misguided they are, it’s OK to tear it down. MLK was a terrible womanizer. Don’t think the #metoo crowd would be too thrilled with a man who took advantage of women his whole life. But the statues arent about his womanizing. And Columbus statues aren’t about him killing “Indians”. And Lincoln statues...well I don’t know why those whack jobs are knocking those down. But you can’t tell these days. Democrat leaders are clapping like stupid seals, at every SJW that has problems. They don’t want to offend them. Apparently their kindness doesn’t extend outside their circle though. They’re perfectly fine calling the president racist, a Nazi and war monger, ect. Wonders will never cease.

No need to mess with Stone Mountain. Just stop maintaining it. Nature will then do the job of reclaiming that KKK-beloved spot.

That is the biggest Confederate Monument that I know of.

When I saw the thread title I thought it was referring to the Stone Mountain carving near Atlanta. It's a carving of Confederacy president Jefferson Davis with generals Robert E. Lee and "Stonewall" Jackson. It's bigger than Mt. Rushsmore and yes, they want it sandblasted off the mountain.

So you're saying that an entire race is stupid enough to be mind-controlled. Calling a whole race stupid is ... oh, what's the word ... racist.

Republicans say that blacks are stupid and easily led.

Democrats treat blacks like rational people who are acting intelligently in their own best interests.

Gee, I wonder why blacks tend to vote for Democrats.

Ummmm, you know there are a lot of black people who are republicans and independents, right? So YOU are the racist one, assuming they all think the same and a democrat. See, the smart ones saw that they were being fooled and used, so they jumped ship to become republicans. It's only the gullible ones that stay behind. Just like all humans, black people can be brilliant or dumb as a stump. You're now just stuck with the latter.

And FAR from the liberal progressive Democrats of today.

Much more aligned (and also revered by) Republicans of today

I give you the "celebration" at Stone Mountain as an example. You won't find many (if any) Dems there

The "progressive liberal " nonsense is just not cutting it. Democrats have always played racial politics and are still doing so.

The slave owners were anything but conservative. They wanted to expand slavery westward. When they did not get their way they pitched a fit. They are the same democrats today as then.

Uh huh...sure thing. It’s cute you think expanding something lucrative is a progressive idea. More like capitalism. But you keep going with progressive.

Expanding slavery westward had to do with economics. As in being able to make more money. Sounds like capitalism to me. But whatever...continue to live in ignorance.

And let me guess, the Democrats of the old South used to be Republicans?

Sorry Lesh, but only the Black Republicans of the pre-1920s South used to be Republicans.

And so the Black population living in Democrat run cities are happy campers? Then why is there so much bloodshed on a consistent basis ??

And I guess the burglar bars on houses in the inner cities are there to keep the White burglars out... :boxing:

    Recorded history disagrees with you.

Seriously, you must think we were born yesterday. You would have us believe that the southern democrats mysteriously disappeared and in their absence, a bunch of southern republicans appeared. And by coincidence, those southern republicans just happen to have many of the same views as the southern democrats, particularly with regard to confederate monuments, despite the fact that the southern republicans have no real connection to the confederacy because they are the party of Lincoln.

Seriously, man. I hope you read this and feel bad.

Why take down Lincoln Grant and TR none fought for the confederacy. Lincoln gave the emancipation proclamation, Grant made it stick, and TR much to the consternation of the Democrats had dinner in the white with a Black man, Booker T Washington as his guest. Maybe because wokeness is a culture not of equality before the law but rather of ignorance, avarice, and blind hate, hmm?

Backwards... Democrats have been treating Black folks like helpless children for 200 years and counting.
