    And then there were 3

    Trump vs Vance - https://www.theusconstitution.org/litigation/trump-v-vance/
    Trump vs Mazars - https://www.theusconstitution.org/litigation/trump-v-mazars-usa-llp/
    McGirt vs Oklahoma - https://www.scotusblog.com/2020/05/...sider-reservation-status-of-eastern-oklahoma/

Case 1 should be a 9-0 decision for Vance, like Clinton v Jones
Case 2 will likely be a standard 5-4, but I cannot tell what Roberts will do. This case wouldn't even be in the SCOTUS if it wasn't involving a President, so finding for Trump puts a president above the law, even if only for his term. This is wrong.
Case 3 ?? - But I highly doubt one third of Oklahoma will be determined to still be an Indian Reservation...

The only bigger case in America that the first two is still McGahn.... no word on that en banc appeal to the DC Court of Appeals yet...

Possibly? He may just be anticipating that they'll rule against him because of how his last few pet cases have gone.

McGirt is first up, as expected

Written by Gorsuch... vote is 5-4

    https://www.scotusblog.com/ is analyzing it...

    ??

For purposes of the Major Crimes Act, land reserved for the Creek Nation since the 19th century remains "Indian country."

This seems to be a highly shocking decision...

Didn't work for Clinton.... Didn't work here...

ScotusBlog is opining the Vance decision is foreshadowing a Mazars win as well

Jesus, and I had just heard some audio from the case saying that Thomas thought the Trump team's argument wasn't Constitutionally sound. Wonder what made him change his mind? But with such a decisive victory and with even Kavanaugh siding with Vance, I'm curious to see the excuses that are going to come out.

If they do side with Trump, they'll likely say that it is only because it isn't an impeachment proceeding.

Mazars is 7-2 as well, but might be more of a win for trump than Vance

Basically, the decision gets remanded back to the lower courts to consider the other potential seperation of powers issues, but it rejects the demanding standard requested by Trump/DOJ

Still, it is extremely unlikely that we will seethe subpoenaed documents before the Election.

The Vance case is going back to regular district court... more BS delays... Trump shouldn't get to win by losing..

Trump "Wins" if a "Win" is defined by not having documents made public before the Election.

I wonder if it would help the House here to open another formal impeachment investigation? I understand they have much greater powers after they've done that...

That was the only game he was playing... he doesn't give one crap about the long term implications of his stonewalling and lying...

Still trying to figure out what's going on with this case. Sounds like they are blocking for now, but sending it back to a lower court?

Yep... Both Congress and Vance win, but neither immediately gets what they need...

ScotusBlog is simply calling it a punt....

The SCOTUS is the best Trump goal line defense of all time... Nobody scores...

But, just like the Vance Case, in any event we will not see these documents before the Election.

I think the SC would side with them if it were an impeachment investigation. It would be interesting to see it go all of they way to the SC again, this time as part of an impeachment investigation, and get some established precedence on Congress's subpoena powers in such matters.

I would think the Watergate Nixon decision to turn over those tapes should be binding, but who the hell knows anymore

Probably the only good news I feel today is that Trump is now going to be pissed at his 2 justices and Roberts.....
