I can't say for sure that mushrooms are the specific source of the obviously aberrant mental dysfunction, but that is one of the few possibilities that fit the reality.
In fact, that type of mushroom does grow widely in the Seattle vicinity. Vendors peddle bagged psilocybin mushrooms at a pop-up cannabis market, and there is a local group known as the Seattle Psychedelic Society. If you saw some of the video from inside the "autonomous zone", you most likely saw people whose bodies were physically present, but whose minds were obviously on some other planet. That's not what
booze does, that the heavy stuff.

Not trying to derail the thread here but there's a disturbing, excellent TV series called The Man in the High Castle, which among a HEAP of other hot issues touches on racial inter-generational "guilt."

Jews, their children raised as Gentiles and their grandchildren raised as Gentiles are summarily rounded up and killed in this alternate-universe where the Nazis rule America. Blacks are sent to death camps. Anyone with a fatal disease is executed.

That's what National Socialism does. This series uses fantasy to smack us in the head with what leftists do when left unattended.

I detest Nazi programs in general and was completely amazed how this alternate-history series showed the Huns (and American turncoats) as sympathetic characters doing unspeakably evil things in very charming ways. And yet, in the end the hypocrisy of socialism lies out there unprotected for everyone to see, just like 1940s and Uncle Bugeyes in Berlin. It's a masterpiece of anti-fascism, four binge-watchable seasons long.

Oh yeah.. and that explains everyone in th eDC Elite are afraid of what Trump will expose.. Most politicians seem to have a gravy gig worked out. .. Mitch McConnell seemed to have a particularly nice deal worked out with China. It's is much like if Trump does "drain the swamp" there won't be anyone left in DC. !!!

Colorblindness is BS. No one can honestly say that they simply don't notice someone's race. The issue isn't noticing. The issue is what you do once you notice.

Still remember one of my profs when a student told her, "When I look at you, I don't see a black woman."

Her response was priceless. "Then WTF do you see? Because I am a black woman. That's what I see when I look in the mirror. You got a problem with that?"

 

That is not what colourblindness means. Good god but you're literal!

Colourblindness is not making the colour of someone's skin a factor in your response to them - ie, your treatment of them, your concessions for them, or any other possible variation on how you respond to someone of your own colour. It means responding to them according to their character and behaviour ALONE.

It's absolute bigotry to alter your response to others for things they have no control over, rather than the things they have complete control over.
