Gotcha so it’s unreasonable to investigate evidence of crimes by a grand jury Issued subpoena?

It’s painfully obvious that trump doesn’t give a rat’s ass about our country.
He will do whatever he thinks will save his skin, regardless of the effect it might have on the country.
He’ll slink off to some golf bunker and fulminate on Twitter about what a victim he is and keep trying to foment civil war among his worshipers and destabilize the country.
In the end, we will have to throw the bum in jail, or deport him to Russia.

I didn’t accuse trump of breaking a law. Read the post I responded to for context.

Crimes? The efforts were nothing more than attempts to unseat a duly elected president.

If any future Democrat is as criminally corrupt as Dirty Donnie I hope they use this decision to send him to jail like Trump is going to be sent after he is no longer President. That's one good thing about being an honest man, you don't have to worry that you're always likely to be sent to jail over one or another cheating scheme you've designed.

No, they were efforts to bring a criminal to justice that were blocked by a cadre of Republican usurpers trying to overthrow the government of the United States

They sold out America, specifically the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution. You shouldn't be able to access any property or records, etc without a warrant. Well, now a subpoena suffices!

Great job SCOTUS, great job! Next, we'll see a ruling that curtails the first amendment and maybe then Liberals will complain about this thing we call a court.

Fake News: Nothing of consequence here: A New York prosecutor may pursue the president’s amazing and flawless financial information, but, Congress must relitigate its case in lower courts.

The Supreme Court’s decisions today are politically a big win for Donald Trump.

The first case involves a subpoena issued by a New York state grand jury conducting an investigation on NDA payments clarifying how they were booked a full decade prior to his incredible presidency.

State grand juries are already barred from engaging in “arbitrary fishing expeditions.” If there is evidence they are acting in bad faith, the president most certainly may, and will, seek intervention by the federal courts. The Constitution’s supremacy clause prohibit state officials from interfering in the president’s official duties, attempting to pressure the president into policy decisions, or retaliating against a president for his official acts. So they determined that these protections, along with the the due-process protections available to all citizens, the president's unchallenged prerogative of seeking intervention by the federal court if state prosecutors or judges act abusively are all sufficient to secure his rights.

This isn't just about Trump. This ruling, screws with ALL of us. The fourth amendment protects our private property rights, or at least it used to. Now, if it's a "criminal proceeding"(note the loosening standards), it's fair game!

To sum it up, just as some accused the court of rewriting the CRA of 1964, the court took a greater liberty and rewrote the fourth amendment of the constitution.

Trump is beyond reason or he'd have resigned already, He thinks he's going to win and there is still time after he loses the election to be pardoned. I just hope Pence grows a conscience and won't do it but rotsa ruck with that.

The pardon doesn't work on State Crimes in any case.

That turned out to be false. If your side had anything of value, Trump would be gone. Is Trump so great that dems have to resort to these tactics? Can't your side come up with a better product for voters?

The second case involved subpoenas issued by three Democrat-controlled committees that were part of the House impeachment effort, despite the obviously fact that the subpoenas were not directly part of the impeachment investigation.

    This is
So, this isn't tough to read.

Ok so no you're not going to answer it that is cool. This remands me of the whole thing with Maddow and one of Trumps returns. And you're doing the same thing, drooling over it. And what did those returns show? Do you remember?

There is a law the Treasury Department has to, which has been completely ignored..

Regardless of what happens until January, the next D house will make the same request to the new D SecTreas, and they will be provided with a smile...

The amount of taxes not paid by Trump must be far worse then one can possibly imagine.

There's a reason Trump wants to stay President and this is it. Where else can he go but to jail?

Well, when you steal $600, you can just disappear...

No, they won't become 'public'. Perhaps a quick google would explain who can and why private records can be subpoenaed.

Let me know when you can decipher a multi-entity corporate tax flow down to an individual on K-1s, allowances for depreciation, Section 179 deductions, and in the flow into a Trust, eh?

Then you can explain it to everyone. I'll buy tickets to that show....

These decisions are nothing burgers, SCOTUS threw the issues back to lower courts. This will ensure that the wrangling will continue until long after Election Day. The Spit Flecked Crazies trying to witch hunt our unmatched President are cats while The Trumpster entertains himself with the laser pointer.

So every time this pissant DA abuses his authority, just as SCOTUS suggested would require court intervention, Trump's unmatched legal team will directly haul his ever broadening ass back to the Manhattan federal court.

When Fat Jerry and Shifty Shift press their characteristically demented demands, the president’s team will promptly hall their butts into the D.C. district court, and probably later, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals as SCOTUS says they must start all over because once again they failed to properly consider the president’s constitutional interests.

It's a fishing expedition, and this gets them no closer to a pole and a lake, much less a fish. They are trying to sell their Whiff as a home run. They came away with nothing, again!

    So what?

    Trump WILL LOSE.

And whether or not it was "fishing expedition" won't even matter.

Al they did was kick it back to the lower courts and let Trump know that as needed, he can restart the process at the lowest courts every time the need arises. Trump can kick this back to first base as many times as necessary. Every cycle takes months and moths and months and months to complete.
