When one looks around the country one sees an interesting pattern. In every state where voting is made easy and there is wide participation, Democrats tend to win most elections. Yet in those states with the most restrictive policies in voting, Republicans tend to win most elections. There has been a lot of voter suppression going on in red America, a lot of purged voter rolls.

I find it rather disgusting and quite anti-democratic when I hear conservatives going on in their twisted logic about how it is acceptable to cheat at elections. How y'all try to couch it in patriotic goodness and yea, yea, for the American way when it is just part of the cover-up for corrupt behavior. It is why y'all are just fine with Trump's shenanigans with the Russians and his solicitation efforts in the Ukraine. Whatever it takes to win, no matter how crooked. In light of this, and other things, it gets exceeding difficult to see anything honorable about conservative thought or Republican politics.

How did you come to that very wrong conclusion? Voting is very easy in my red state and the democrats have not won for years and probably won't in my lifetime.

I think wide open voting is a bad thing; you seem to approve of it. I think suppressing people who are not eligible to vote from voting is a good thing; you evidently believe it is bad.

...... More arm waving inane dreamy ranting.

Are you equating self-possession with slavery?

You seem to revel that people are becoming less "religous"....maybe that is because more are turning to "faith". Sure as you said about "early times" there were religous people who twisted the truth of God to justify slavery.....but the surprising fact is, thousands of Americans of "Faith" overturned slavery and of course you would refuse to acknowledge that. If you love "secular" so well, perhaps China or North Korea would be right for you.

Yes, yes I am. By definition, that's exactly what slavery means.

As the madness and folly of progressive treachery and anti-American, riot inciting insurrection unfolds before us in real time, traditional Americans are shocked at the levels of treason that the left is capable of.

It seems surreal, to watch the destruction of America, in real time.

Where are the Defenders of America? Where are the oath takers, who have sworn to defend the constitution from ALL enemies, foreign AND domestic?

Are our leaders to sit by idly, while revolutionaries openly roam the streets, looting, burning, and destroying the foundations this nation was founded upon? Have these mayors and governors become complicit in the attack on the Foundational principles of America, and become co-conspirators in the attempt to overthrow Law, Democracy, and constitutional rule in this fragile Experiment in self rule?

Unless patriotic Americans rise united, to defend the constitution from these enemies of freedom and American principles, we are finished as a nation, and have only despotism and oppression to look forward to.

    Welcome..

    ..not just Trump..

EVERYONE who has taken an oath to defend America from all enemies, foreign and domestic, should rise from their mental stupor and drive these enemies away.

Perhaps you should read Jefferson's thoughts on slavery.

This is, perhaps, the best post ever committed to storage at PF. I wish I could "like" it 100 times.

And the left wonders why conservatives look down on liberals. They are absolutely nuts. The sheer number of gun owners versus annual firearm accidents (much less fatalities) proves we are not anything like the blood-lusters this now-banned poster describes.

I toured Monticello as a boy and marveled at the truly inventive details within it, only starting with the first dumbwaiter to bring items between floors. Odd how something that relatively minor sticks so firmly in memory. I also visited Mount Vernon and can't recall a thing.

I could care less about that child molester. Records claim Sally Heming was around 15 or 16 when she had her 1st child by Jeffersons.

As a piece of pure fantasy that, according to the author, passes for factual history I find very amusing. In order to obtain any degree of liberty you have to have the power to vote, so lets look at those entitled to vote and those who were denied that liberty. Half the population in the British Colonies on the eastern seaboard were denied that right, namely the woman. Were the Loyalists who fought against the revolution given the right to vote? Nope, they were persecuted instead. The common man who was not a land owner was he given the right to vote? Nope. needless to say the slaves, and the original population were not given the right to vote. in fact in order to have the right to vote you had to be a land owner and the amount of land owned was carefully defined. So this collection of soundbites were meant for the ears of the very few, so much for Liberty for all.
Finally lets look at the supposed tyranny of British rule. The British front line troops amounted to 6500 thousand but the eastern seaboard in the 1700 hundreds was a very unhealthy place to live. The British could hardly put 5000 thousand men in the field of a population of 3 million. Washington made a mistake early on in the weary eight long years of the rebellion when he confronted the regular British troops of the Line and lost a third of his men. Not killed though, they simply ran away, to his credit he never repeated his mistake. Don't get upset though, the rebellion itself had nothing to do with today's America it never existed until 60 years later when the vast migration began. The word 'America' meant then simple 'New Land' though i believe that was South America.

Yep. His wealth and livelihood was based on slavery.. And it made no sense freeing the slaves and crashing our agri based economy . It. would take many.years and a civil war to free the slaves.

The "enemy within" got its foothold the day the first slave hit out shores.
