    Like ALL political bodies there is a shelf life, some short and some long The UN's is pass its use by date and needs to be updated or replaced.

    At one point, the USA will be totally isolated. No one will want to trade with you since you don't respect contract and treaties. No countries will want to host your military or permit your ships to dock. You'll go back to pre-1918 isolation and quietly fade away. At that point you'll be a superpower in your mind only.

    If Soleimani didn't want a special delivery tank buster missile to the forehead then he shouldn't have been coordinating attacks that killed US forces over the years.

    Whatever international law on the books that prohibits the US from taking out folks like Soleimani when they go out in public is a law that we have every right to blatantly ignore.

    Sorry but when we are 1 of 193 nations in an organization yet we foot over a quarter of the bill then we sort of get to do what we want without having to ask the rest of you for permission.

    I like sub Sahara Africa north of, South Africa.

    I think more importantly, it was a violation of the US constitutional powers on war. This strike was not a part of any authorized military campaign by congress, and there was no imminent threat. Hell, there's more of an imminent threat from Russia than there was from this general, Russia has been engaging in proxy warfare against the US (which includes putting bounties on US soldiers) as recent as 2019. If we wanted to deal with what this Iranian general for what he did 15 years ago, legally we should have notified congress first.

    But of course you will engage in trade with China. For the record, China is committing a straight up genocide on an ethnic minority as we speak while simultaneously crushing the freedoms of the Hong Kong people (perhaps the freest people on the globe not more than 5 years ago). They have stolen Western IP on a unprecedented scale. The UN bent the knee to China in the past year and helped them SPREAD THE PANDEMIC TO THE WORLD. This is the super power you support but America is a bridge too far. If you think you will do better with Chinese overlords I really really can't help you.
