Objecting to current police treatment has absolutely NOTHING to do with "self pity. That comment couldn't be more presumptive, insulting and superscilious.

The issue is one of harrassment.

The issue is one of being unable to trust police.

And, the justification for that mistrust is clear every single day of the year.

Policing requires the trust and cooperation of those being policed. Many places are FAR from having that.

Nope. Some if their 50s and many in their 60s were born when segregation was policy.

Because it started to become illegal in the 60s and early 1970s doesn't mean the mindset of those policies ended.
That's why lynchings were a thing. Or burning down black churches.

Yes, it's called the United States Government. Right now it's leader is mainly a hostile bigot but the organization remains committed to benefiting ALL the citizens of the US.

It's always looked out mainly for the white majority. It looks out for other races too, and permits them to join in the governance if they want to, even to becoming President as happened just recently

Funny how behaving yourself keeps the cops off your neck, and if you can't behave, cooperating with an arrest does the same thing.
Trust this- IF you don't behave like a thug, you aren't likely to be treated like a thug. I support police doing whatever is needed to deal with them.

There are times police can't be trusted now- as in to nobody responding in Minneapolis to calls for help when a pack or rabid dogs is destroying your business, threatening your life.
That's because people in charge of the police lacked the balls to stand up for their own city, and allowed the thugs to trash it. I figure they need to be arrested and prosecuted along with the rioters.

But you really know better than the position you take here; you just choose to aggravate people for the fun of it.
Same reason some people riot.
Can't say that's likely to earn you any trust here either.

Policing fails when the PEOPLE being policed do not have trust or confidence in thos policing them.

And, that is a factor all across America.

The police in Minneapolis have a LONG history of being unable to be trusted by those they police. Floyd was not their first rodeo. Neither was the Australian visitor who calld 911 - only to have the police kill her.

Blatant ad hom is really all you've got. And, that doesn't make it more than laughable.
