    You are being redundant. Mueller did the investigation and said Barr understated the results.

    Hey there is a book coming out on this. Should Trump lose the election I sure as hope they release all the findings of the investigation that Trump purposely kept secret. Obviously he was trying to be honest, you know, drain the swamp. :)

    Off-topic nonsense. This thread is about politically motivated pardons/sentence commutations. It may be a game to you, but not to me.

    Obama pardoned one domestic terrorist after the man did 30+ years in prison and was in his mid 70s. Should have let the guy rot IMO, but there was certainly no advantage for Obama, as there is in this instance of Trump commuting Stone's already light sentence.

    Do you know why Stone asked for sentence commutation instead of a pardon? Specifically because he and Trump both know that if Trump loses in November, he's likely to face charges and multiple indictments once he is no longer the sitting president. Stone will be called as a witness in some cases. A pardon would prevent Stone from using the 5th amendment, which wouldn't apply since he'd already been pardoned for the crimes likely to be brought up in court. With sentence commutation, however, his legal status is still in question and he will be allowed to assert 5th amendment rights, essentially refusing to answer questions that could convict his good buddy, Donald.
