You can compare numerous things and get more deaths out of Covid-19, but that does not mean they are valid comparisons. The level of risk is simply not comparable. Covid-19 is bad. Have no doubt, but it does need this kind of exaggeration.

I was at considerably more risk of dying while serving in Vietnam for a year and if you narrow it down to the time period of a half dozen rocket and mortar attacks, my chances of dying during one of those attacks is many orders of magnitude greater.

I have had experience in this area in engineering. You listen to a lot of experts and then you have to choose which expert to believe.

 

It is, by every standard, the greatest failure of any President to respond to a (inter)national crisis. Made worse by the ample warnings from inside the admin, outside the admin, and those in the medical community who are knowledgeable about the dangers of an uncontrolled viral disease spreading at exponential speed.
That his approval rating is above 30% is an ode to the cult of personality embracing him.

I owe no allegiance to anyone. I am not satisfied with the response to Covid-19. However, I am not convinced any of the democrats would have done any better and there are indications that several would have done worse. Neither the CDC or WHO was on top of the situation.
