I agree with the short sightedness of the Emancipation, even John Adams worried what freedom would mean for blacks. The problem then was there was zero social programs, no assistance and in many ways the Emancipation was as cruel as slavery. Much has changed since then, we're not 100% there but no one has done more to improve the lot of blacks than the US. What to do about those in that community that refuse to work, educate themselves, engage in self improvement and elevate the community? They are the ones who scream racism the loudest and who is telling them to do that? Racism is an unfortunate part of every culture but to say we haven't done anything about it is wrong, to say it's as bad as the Jim Crow era is wrong. There's no shortage of Americans of all colors that want it to disappear so who continues promote the idea of that deep, institutionalized racism still exists? I'm not saying it doesn't, I just don't know but I think promoting the idea that it does is not very helpful. I've been around long enough to remember when that was absolutely true but I've also seen that America has evolved greatly in the time since.

No introspection or examining a historical social perspective or any effort to empathize for that is for the weak. Your mind has calcified into a specific world view where certain members of the black race are sociopathic parasites. Am I right? With no thought as to why that is. Nothing can be done about those people besides probably putting them in jail.

No matter the race, poverty brings with it an increased incidence of crime, violence and social dysfunction and when that is concentrated as in the inner city the problems are compounded. You have the south side of Chicago on a Saturday night. All blacks, even those in poverty, hate and are disgusted by that. That should be no revelation. The right likes to point the finger of blame and complain which does nothing to resolve the problem.

I think I said earlier more evidence your view of reality is distorted and I think beyond repair. I'll stick with that and quit wasting my time.

The problem is blacks have historically been kept from accumulating wealth, that is why they have double the poverty rate. The mean wealth of a white family is $117,000 and for a black family it is $17,000. A white high school graduate has more accumulated wealth than a black college graduate. As a society we have made great strides since the 60's but we are not there yet and shutting up about is not helpful. Minorities are impatient because they can see what others have had for a long time. Family wealth is a determinant in whether the next generation can afford a house and college and most blacks do not have that lift up and out.

If they had a clue, they wouldn't be Trumpers, now would they?

Of course, you are wrong, not right. Haven't been right yet.
People are what they choose to be- and without question a sizable portion of the black population behaves in sociopathic ways. That means anti-social behavior, rejecting the moral values of a society, uncaring and indifferent to the feeling of others, and the harm they cause.

The honorable black people know, it, don't question it, don't defend it. That part of the 13% black population of America is a minority of it, but is responsible for 53% of all murders- and that as compared to those by all others, all non-whites of any kind. That can easily be described as systemic violent tendencies. Other crimes like robbery- similar rates. No matter how you try to disguise this, the numbers come from FBI crime stats and are not in question. It's not all black, and any rational person recognizes that this like a sub-culture within a culture and race. They are joined by some non-black people who seen to be driven by and attracted to the same kind of trash behavior.

If you have any adult comprehension at all, you should know that you cannot grant character qualities by passing law, and you can't gift them, and you can't make any person change their character- it requires the person themselves to choose to do that, and it is very fundamental- not easy. It requires a lot of dedication, a deep revision of thinking, and time. All that a society can do is try to make the path easier- but you damn sure can't make them take it. We have made a great deal of concessions toward that goal, to provide and reserve opportunity for minorities while openly denying them to others. The assistance's include massive low-income housings, special loan conditions, labor laws in some cases requiring black be hired over others, and a variety of special protections. It's a long, long list, and while many upwardly thinking many black people have responded and done well, those who chose to claim victim-hood actually resent it; they continue to despise those who open doors and offer opportunity- because they have no intention of changing. That's what victim-hood entitles them too- they are forever owed compensation for failure they refuse to do anything about. Their choice; nothing anyone else has control over.

Now if one wanted to make the entire case, it would include the huge number of single-parent families and poverty resulting from irresponsible black fathers, the rates of drop-outs, drug addicts and criminals that result from that lack of parenting, and the generational transfer of the same attitude, insuring that the condition will continue. Anyone can chose to change- but many people, in any race, want that change to come to them, and they want it to fit neatly into what they already are and already believe- just relieve their problems without any time, money or effort on their part.

Of the handful of people I most admire for their quality of character over all my life- two of them are black. I voted for Obama, once, because I thought he would be the best man. I regret thinking he could do the job as well as be better than the alternative at this point, but none the less, I did vote for a black president. As for poverty- I've probably spent some time poorer than you may have ever been, but none the less in my entire life I've never taken so much as an unemployment check in the way of aid. No matter how bleak the situation was- I refused to live off anyone else, including family. My parents were the same way, and I watched them both work 16 hours a day for three years without day off in the hardest of times to hold things together. Most families have trials- some people rise to the challenge, as many blacks certainly have.... and others turn away from it and become useless or worse. I think chances are you have never had to face much in the way of reality, or you would be a wiser person and see both sides here.

My theory is that it has something to do with the CERN particle accelerator creating a quantum displacement wave of micro singularity anomalies currently manifested by the “Mandela” effects in combination with an antithetical paradigm rejection of logically derived axioms established prior to this event

So the community hates the violence and is disgusted by that lawless behavior, but instead of the "leadership" calling out the community's criminals and trying to stop crime, instead of making the communities safer places by requesting more law and order, the leaders are calling for less of it? Instead of being outraged by local crime, they actually elevate some of these criminals to a place of honor? The problem here isn't the police.

I'm trying not stereotype but there is niche areas where blacks excel and there's potential for enormous wealth like sports and entertainment, often these open doors for other things, Michael Jordan and George Foreman come to mind. I think the gap is closing quicker than anyone thinks but it's not just a black and white thing I think it's also about going for it no matter who you are.

The ultimate problem is not the police and the black community has been marching to stop the violence and preachers/community leaders have denounced the violence for years, that is calling them out. What has changed?
The symbolism of George Floyd is what has been elevated. He may not have been much to the general public in life but in death he became more.
The black community is not monolithic, 60% believe there should be more of a police presence, what we all agree on is the police should be professional. In Minneapolis cadets are given 16 weeks of training before they are given a badge and a gun. In the UK there are national training standards and cadets are trained and observed for two years.
    The ultimate problem is poverty.

I think you did stereotype. It can be argued sports is entertainment. So, is that what they excel in or is it one of the few avenues of success? Does every member of the white population have to "go for it" just to reach the middle class or do they have a lot of help? An example: parents paid for college, graduated debt free, got a job, saved for down payment for a house....I've lived there since and then I payed for my children's college. The reason why black college graduates have less wealth than white high school graduates is they have to pay rent while they are paying off student loans.

It depends on what you consider middle class. A family of four with a combined income of $100,000 dollars might be able to afford a house but not college for two children. The same family with $200,000 dollars might struggle with two children in college especially if they both went to high end schools like Harvard or Yale where a bachelors degree is around a quarter million dollars. When I was in college a bachelors degree was under ten thousand and I had to work and to pay for it myself. My grad school was mostly paid for with scholarships I worked my ass off to earn. There wasn't much else then in the way of aid. I wasn't trying to stereotype but if you have talent that is where the real money is. I guess what I mean by go for it is to know your strengths and believe in yourself no matter your race or economic status. Also going for it is better than not even if you fail. I didn't mean to suggest that those were the only avenues for blacks but it is where they excel, it could be said, dominate.
