    Just for comparison, the 2016 "NeverTrump" coalition's candidate (Evan McMullin) didn't announce his candidacy until August 8th, 2016.

    This is what his ballot access looked like. He took 700,000 votes....and he was an obscure nobody, not a famous household name.

    The guy has like 40 million combined social media followers.He asks why VP Biden is better than Kanye and its covered by every news outlet. I think you're severely downplaying his ability to influence the conversation.

    Yeah, he is responsible for the First Step Act which is letting people out of jail early by reversing Joe Biden's crime bill which put people in jail for a long time for minor drug charges. What a racist!!! But which man is the racist, hmmmm?

    When has Trump said he sees Confederates as heroes? There are no Confederates today, though some people in the south feel nostalgic over the confederacy because they lost ancestors in the war. Both black and white fought for the south.

    The people destroying statues aren't even targeting confederate statues. They've destroyed abolitionist statues, statues which were erected because black donations paid to honor them, and even a statue of Frederick Douglas. At some point, destruction without any specific political target is just senseless destruction.
