New Ivanka Trump initiative tells out-of-work Americans to 'find something new'

Being rich and powerful is no immunity to the worst of human traits and pathologies, in fact, it only exacerbates them. Look at what happened to Howard Hughes.

 

How about showing evidence of this.

 

It seems your correct like they have access to everything they could want and it bores them so their wants become more obscure? Idk but its weird for sure

 

Something new? Like learning to code?

 

Problem is that this is NOT an initiative, it's just a website that points to other entities. An initiative is far more comprehensive, this is the bare minimum. It's just part of overall election propaganda.

 

That's just one aspect.

I was reading an article about Mary Trump's book which comes out today, and she makes a very interesting point about how the Trump family never really sought out help for Donald because the way they saw it, he was/and is already institutionalized, whether it was Trump Tower or the Oval Office. For the vast majority of us who need to seek out mental health care, it's a daunting task to get the help one needs primarily because of limited resources (aka $$$), but in the case of the rich, the stigma is greater than confronting the condition itself, so family members just turn the other way and give them whatever they want.

But the disturbing thesis of the book has gotten less attention so far because it is too complex for a bullet point or a tweet. Mary Trump argues that her uncle has been "institutionalized" his entire life, from his father's rigid house to military school to the Trump Organization and now the White House. In Washington, he is, for the first time in his life, subject to close scrutiny but still surrounded by enablers who have everything to lose if he is exposed as a fake and a fraud.​

 

Lol... it’s the perfect campaign slogan for all patriotic Americans.
She knows her dad is a degenerate dotard and the country deserves better.

 

Then compare that theory with a guy like Joe Kennedy who lobotomized his daughter because she was friendly and not terribly bright...

 

SICK!

 

And that particular incident in the Kennedy family has plagued everyone of them. She was lobotomized because at that time that was considered the newest and best treatment, even though in Rosemary's case it didn't work and made the situation far worse, she lost the ability to talk coherently. The rest of the Kennedy family was not informed of the lobotomy till Joe Kennedy suffered a stroke.

 

Uh, we all can't be daddy's little "protegee " …... I'm sure Donald finds lots of "new' things for Ivanka to "do".

If y'all think that Covid is wreaking havoc on jobs now, just think about what will happen if Biden (AOC et al) is elected...

 

The problem is Biden would keep the economy locked down and then forget to open it back up.

I agree it is redundant unless it does fund the educational and resume building skills, otherwise it is just a wishful website.

 

It just looks like a hub for corporate sponsors to connect with potential customers.

Looks to me like a useful website. It provides testing to see which career might suit you, aptitude tests etc etc. Also gives links to many types of schools and seems to push Trade schooling. Something that is seriously lacking in today's day and age.

I see no reason to criticize it. Its a useful resource for those that are looking for something new and for those just starting out. Also useful for those that actually want to work. Oh... that's why its criticized. It's not pushing Social Justice type of education. It's pushing actual education that can actually help people. Got it.

So, you'd rather that all those resources, schools (both trade and college) be spread across on different websites?

The website gives people options. There is nothing wrong with that. In fact its applaudable. Let's put it this way. Do you really think that the people that are more than likely going to use the website cares if its something created by Ivanka Trump?

Perhaps try looking at it for what its meant as instead of what you think its meant as. Or try and look at it from the perspective of those that use it. Either way, you should realize that there are multiple ways of looking at something.

 

It is a part of Trump push for people to go back to work in spite the pandemic, bottom line, and it doesn't even offer any meaningful assistance. Again, it's just one big ad for a bunch of sponsors. It doesn't address people's concerns about going back to work and doesn't offer meaningful assistance. It doesn't address those who, say, can't go to work because their daycare is closed. It doesn't address financial hardships. It does nothing more than provide lists of links to sponsor websites.

As for Ivanka, once again she's essentially saying, "Let them eat cake!"
