    If memory serves me I believe that is when Papa { Ernest Hemingway }
used to get up.In order to write.I,as well. However the last few days I have
had very deep and interesting Dreams.Taking me back to my college days.
Where I was Very Bohemian.A Bohemian Hippie who got a kick out of
playing Hooky from class.Keep in mind it took me 4 years to flunk
out of college. These college day dreams involve how I was living { as in
my living coditions }.Which wasn't Living but barely surviving.
I remember for some persnickety reason ... Sundays was always a drag.
I couldn't stand sundays. There were no classes.Maybe that had something to
do with it.I couldn't play hooky on Sunday since the college was closed.

I had an exchg with a young man on FB last night... about tearing down a popular restaurant that's been here since the 1940's, in order to build more poorly constructed, UGLY highrise apts that start at $1700 a month. Basically, he doesn't care about middle income folks because the house he bought for $200k is now worth $400k. His exact words? "I'm happy as a clam, why should I worry about them?"

Told a gf this morning that I hope to be dead and gone by the time his generation takes over. (Of course, he hopes that happens sooner than later.) This country will never be the same. :(

What does that $200k do for him? I mean besides increasing his property taxes.

Any gain would only be realized if he sold it, then moved to a lower cost area.

There is a lot to be said about the more you have the more you have to care for. I don't know what my place is worth but it ain't much. But is more than enough of for me. But if I did have a lot of money there is this old truck stop on 411. It has no roof but the building is made of concrete. To be able to restore it would be nice.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...FjAAegQIBhAB&usg=AOvVaw0Ixvq1kbzZ4rRjnMJYoxB3

Is this a case { example } of Eminent Domain.Basically that is not allowed
under ED.But they pulled that crap a few places in like the Northeast.
Boston area or New Jersey.I can't remember.
Eminent Domain has to be used { applied } under strict guidelines.
Must be for a public good.Like Roads,Bridges,School, telephone or
    electric wires.NOT Apartments or restaurant.
Fair market value has to be applied when Condemning prop.
NOT double value.Plus the property owners have to be allowed
ample time to prepare. This also has to be done publically in the
    Newspaper.

Not sure what you're talking about, Foolie but the north side of my part of town has been turned over to developers via city 'leaders' in the name of redevelopment And, I kid you not... gentrfication*

    gen·tri·fi·ca·tion
    /ˌjentrəfəˈkāSH(ə)n/
    Learn to pronounce

    noun
    1. the process of renovating and improving a house or district so that it conforms to middle-class taste.
      "an area undergoing rapid gentrification"
      • the process of making a person or activity more refined or polite.
        "soccer has undergone gentrification"
Makes me wanna throw up. I live peacefully next door to black neighbors. But if one of these gentrified morons moves in next door, I'm moving.

    Gotta room I can rent?

Saturday, it's supposed to reach 70°. That'll be the first time it got that hot since May 28th..

Monday will be a killer. It's supposed to get up to 77°. We're all going to be walking around with our tongues hanging out.

Oh, you poor thing. I wet a hand towel in the sink and put it on the back of my neck before going outside. Especially around the ponds. To do otherwise wouldn't be worth it. It absorbs heat real well.

I would love to get a little footage of Crayfish movement. At first they hide. But when they smell food they start coming out. They scurry about like tiny tanks ready for battle. Two claws , one claw, or less, and they fight. They also hoard food and it is better not to feed too much. Besides, they like plants as much as meat. And plants won't spoil the water so quickly. I also have minnows in there so they can catch a meal if they have to... I am still thinking about symbiosis and a want a system that will work together to produce food and reduce cost.

I planted one of my bowling balls today. There was more to it than you might think. That area floods during the winter rains. I raised it up a bit and gave it more of a slope. I hope that it works.

On the other side, I knew that I was going to plant a shrubbery there. For some reason, I put a plant there. I just finished moving it.

All is now set to plant the other shrubbery.

Things in big city's like Dallas and Houston are NOT what they
were back in the 50's,60's even 7o's.
I have 12 credit hrs. in Real Estate. So I know about Eminent Domain.
The problem is Texas is on track to be a Purple state.
It was inevitable.Greg Abbot is a good conservative but he's
been compromised. That is what the left strives to do.
I think right now Tucker Carlson { hasn't been on Fox the last
couple nights } has problems. The left is hellbent on destroying him.
They found an achilles heel.A former writer from The Daily Caller.
They can't touch Carlson over stuff like womanizing or being
involved in some hidden get rich schemes. So they are gonna
attack Fox for letting him be their Star Host.Go after advertisers.
I see where Dem Primaries in places like Dallas looking
promising for winning.Texas is what Dems are after. They wanna
turn Texas into another California. They will not be denied.
Austin is already gone. It's Trendy city. You must do your part and
spread the word about the hazards of a Democrat Texas.
This is no game.If Texas falls to the democrats the Republic
may never be the same again.Plus it won't be long before
conservatives { Vote Republican } will lose their careers and
    be stigmatized.

Here’s a technique I use to relieve stress.

Sit comfortably in an upright chair. Breathe in deeply through your nose. Imagine the breath going deep down into your belly. Exhale softly through your mouth. Keep your chest still as your body rises and falls with each breath. In a few minutes your stress will go away.

    Like magic.

I believe that should read ... " now set to plant the other shrubs. "
Not to appear too schlub-like.Just enough to not upset the apple tree.
    Next to the apple cart.

Not so fast. These Times they are not a changing. They are In Yer Face on a daily
basis. On purpose.Do not confuse the easier and more pleasant era where Grandma
used a mustard plaster for your cold or her homemade chicken noodle soup.
A nutter really good stress reliever is a nice belt of whisky.
Or Two.Maybe Three.Keeping in mind with Six you get eggroll.

This is just me.But there seems to be an awful lot of
concrete around.I keep thinkin' what happens when a senior
traverses that mound of mortar.I have that outside my front door.
I don't like it.I keep thinking what happens if I slip or loose my
balance.I will end up being late to Post messages.
    Maybe more than late.Godfrey Daniel!

Agreed. That explains why the Marines get up very early.
They get more done in a day before other's even get out of bed.
