Because there is nothing Goya offers that isn't offered by another brand or homemade. I have not purchased Goya for years due to the non-organic ingredients. They might offer organics now but I already have companies which I prefer at this point.

    Goya has some great products...

And Goya has donated to needy families as a policy...

No valid reason not to buy from Goya...

Trump fans are so easily manipulated to part with their hard-earned money.

I remember when Brian Kolfage got them to send him tons of cash for building a private great wall of Mexico. How much has been built? 3 miles? LOL!

Now, Kolfage is trying to scam people by selling overpriced N95 masks. Never let a crisis to go to waste when you can make some good $$$ off suckers to keep the trophy wife happy.

    Goya makes some good stuff.

They benefit. Americans benefit. I benefit.

    Don't see the problem.

I don't know which is sillier...boycotting something or buying something JUST because it's being boycotted

Yuk. Just because they do good things doesn’t make their wares any more appetizing.

Real high quality stuff and the best if you like Caribbean cuisine, everything you need to cook Cuban, Haitian, Dominican and Puerto Rican dishes. Chivo Guisado is a Dominican dish to die for. It's goat meat in an oregano marinade, braised and served with plain white rice and fried plantains. Nice with any red wine and a coconut flan for desert.

Goya you say. I tried their beans once and was not impressed. It seemed low quality and had a bad taste. So, I'll "boycott" them, I guess. ;)

we will have to wait and see if republicans become long time customers and if democrats stop buying now this political and Trump is running with it

I say it's a risky move for a business to make political statements

Apparently Goya is crushing it in sales right now.

It reminds me of when dems boycotted in and out burger because they donated to a Republican and had bible verses on the bottom of their cups-sales when through the roof.

My wife was working on her shopping list yesterday evening, I told her to buy us some Goya beans and stuff. Got home tonight, she said the Shelves were almost picked clean of Goya products. Somebody is sending a message.

You know it seems like a small thing but it's beating the left using their tactics. It's effing brilliant. The only downside. is all of the companies that will see it as an opportunity to increase profits.

But if it helps convince companies that they don't have to cave in to the extortion from the far-left insanity, then it will be worth it. I'll gladly support practically any company that will shoot them the big ol' middle finger.

Opposite holds true too, I abandoned hollywood decades ago, never needed dumbass actors pushing their political views on me. The NFL is out, but I will admit Bill O'brien is the root cause of that, last straw was trading a future hall of famer for practically nothing. msm is just dnc shills, so who needs them? Don't need none of that BS, got my family, friends, gardening, projects, bbq, fishing, and of course, PF.

I agree with what you've said but caution there are cases like Dan Cathy with Chik-fil-A changing its corporate philosophy. The guy from MyPillow caught hell for doing the right thing, and yet I doubt he'll fold like Cathay because right is right and companies MUST respond (in this case making masks) when they can.

Anyone remember the Duck Commander refrigerator magnets being sold to support that overall TV series and related enterprises? Another buy-cott, again saying censors begone. There's a strong interest in my area for Goya products, anyway. But a good product finds its own market, and free publicity is free publicity.

There are enough fields of them planted in my area (Michigan) to suspect Montana just ain't alone.

Yup and plenty throughout the rest of the midwest and west.

The US is truly lucky to have such a wide diversity of terrain and be able to produce foods on such a large and efficient scale.

That means, more or less that a famine or widespread crop failure is far less likely to happen here.

What's funny is Goya was going to be just fine. They didn't need your "help".

Do you have some actual data showing they needed support?

I live in a rural county where corporate farming indeed is taking over, due to equipment costs and many other factors. Other farmers hold down "civilian" jobs for insurance purposes, or winter-time incomes. Those who can afford it already own what gear they need. They eke it out, season after season, but they do indeed survive.

One enduring misleading comment I've seen here involves the idea that farmers are not training others. The Future Farmers of America is not some pattycake feelgood outfit but the real fracking deal. They get kids' minds RIGHT about the perils and reward and the outright joy of being independent. Across the Michigan border between Indiana and Ohio are numerous farm-education systems, not one of them trying to mislead kids into thinking it will ever be easy. But it is how America was built. It's how freedom is done.
