    People seem so concerned with the "rights" of the thugs........ what about the rights of the law abiding decent citizens and business owners who are also caught in the middle of this crap? From where I stand it looks like Trump is standing up for them, and I bet they're damned thankful.

    It is shameful what these virtue-signaling hyper-partisan leftwing politicians are letting happen in their areas.

    There are federal agencies with jurisdiction, and the duty, to protect federal facilities, including those in Portland.

    Had anyone from the feds contacted the local authorities to coordinate? Did anyone from the DHS contact the mayor of Portland to give him a 'heads-up'? If not, why not?

    The SS towards the end of the war started recruiting Muslims, Poles and young boys as the Aryans that made up the SS were being killed.

    I comend you for posting this and for including Gen. McCaffery's extract from Williams show.

    McCaffery warns us about establishing an internal "police" force. I have been warning about how the Trumpocity is assembling an internal police force and I said and keep saying that it is being molded like the Soviet NKVD, the MVD, the KGB and soon will look a bit like the Russian FSB.
    Trump fans have bought his lies that Russia did not even attempt to interfere in our democracy therefore they are blind to the facts that this POTUS is taking our country into the cesspool of autocracy and dictatorship.

    What will this POTUS do next? Anyone remember when the nut cases said that Clinton had invited Red Chinese troops to be the US police force? Remember the others who said that Clinton nhad imported UN troops with baby blue helmets to be the police security here.

    What if Putin offers to send Russian Spaznaut troops to "shut down" demonstrations and of course adds the sweetnet that they will have no markings so no one will know as long as they do not talk and Trump accepts. Their cover will be blown when they tell those they arrest " you go to Sibir you Merikan" " right after I read you Miranda right.".

    Thank you for the kind words. Without a doubt we are a very vulnerable country right now. Trump is in a panic state and his troops are out in full force defending his lies and making up conspiracies. As we get closer to November, there's no telling where this is going to lead and how bad it's going to get. It actually wouldn't surprise me if Trump enlisted Russian mercenaries to wear the camo, beat up and pepper spray more older US Navy vets. He ignored the fact that Russia was paying to murder US soldiers in Afghanistan, so why wouldn't he? Trump doesn't have a shred of patriotism or allegiance to the United States, it's just something he never had from the time he was a kid because his focus was always on cheating the other guy to make more money.

    Yes the white house wrote a letter offering support and DHS has actually been in contact on the ground. That being said, burn your lefty cities baby it only hurts the lefties and the poor that has to live there. I assure you very few will that have too if this mayor stays in office.

    Good that there are a few of us patriots left on this board who actually see the danger that a character such as POTUS D is to our democracy. Benjamin Franklin also said this to a woman when asked if we had a republic or a monarchy. “Well Doctor what have we got, a republic or a monarchy.” Franklin replied, “A republic . . . if you can keep it.”

    POTUS D would like not a republic bur a dictatorship.

    I am not a conspiracy nut but the Mueller was clouded over by Trump's personal fixer masqurrading as if he was the country's AG. We have had the wool pulled over our "eyes " so we did not get to see what was in the Mueller report. why do you think Roger Stone was pardoned? He was pardoned because he covered up for the POTUS and or the campaign. dp you believe that Trump just craps on our intel agencies for the hell of it?

    So you think there was something actually substantive in the report but it was hidden under the redactions. Well they brought Mueller before Congress and he had nothing also so you're just grasping. Until you actually find something I would give up promoting that there was anything there because it just deprecates from anything of substance you might have to say. I hope we can agree that DHS has a right to protect against the destruction of federal property.

    the DHS isn’t “Trump’s” they have been around for decades and created by Congress wi th overwhelming bipartisan support.

    They are the federal govts agency that handles public safety

    Fundamentally the President has the ability to send federal law enforcement to enforce federal laws.

    These cities have proven time and time again that they can not maintain law and order.
