Even for a few minutes over the course of several hours? Why would you torture yourself like that? How can you give up something you love over a few minutes?

I loathe Trump. Did I stop watching the NCAA College Football Championship because he came out and walked on the field before the game? Hell no! That would be insane, IMO of course.

And they are free to express it on their own time like me with my employer.

It’s sad to see that trump has people cutting off their noses to spite their faces. It’s not healthy listening to trump.

The people making those unrequested political or social statements are the same players in the game. I’ve no interest in watching them play as players if they choose to take on the role of political or social commentary. They can’t fill both roles as they wear that uniform IMO.

Just got a text from a buddy in N Texas, Rangers started preaching BLM on their pregame show. He’s done with them this year.

If he wanted politics he would flip to CNN or Fox, not flip on the game. I feel the same.

Trump at a Game has nothing to do with the team or players. That is not their choice.

This is entertainment. It's what we do to get away from our more serious life's matters. It is a few hours of escape. And we shouldn't care what they think as a group of athletes and they should not take it upon themselves to think we do. I've been a semi-pro musician off and on my whole life, I never bring my opinions, political or religious, to a venue I'm being paid to entertain. It's none of my business what the people in the audience think about such matters and not my place to demonstrate mine.

Typical silly lefty post, blame Trump for everything.

He has nothing to do with this. Get a new line, that one is so worn out.

    Exactly.

What is so hard to understand about that? I wonder if the players taking a knee would support their bar tender that night giving them his political or social opinion? They should not, so why give the bar tender theirs on the field?

I applaud any of them who use their fame to support causes they believe in and work with those causes at appearances and doing promotions, but not AT THE GAME. Do that on your own time and your own dime.

It's disrespectful. Saying all lives matter isn't even a protest and look at the reaction that gets.

You don’t ever complain about politics at work? I don’t believe you at all.

All lives can't matter if Black lives don't Matter. Remember that.

I love the game, but I have zero interest in watching millionaire kneelers start the game by insulting every American. I'll miss what you should be, have no interest in what you have become.

I don't discuss politics at work when I am representing the company. I avoid it at work with co-workers. Can't you tell I let it all build up and then it EXPLODES here :oldman:

You see, I would think that cutting off your nose to spite your face would be burning down your neighborhood, getting arrested and having a permanent criminal record, and stuff like that.

I quite watching baseball when they went on strike for the playoffs. Their fans waited all year for that and they said screw you. Now this.

Keep in mind that just a few years ago people were thrown out of the Orioles stadium for having a Trump banner because their policy was no political statements. On top of that, not everyone agrees with a group of people who have quickly become violent racist terrorists.

Saying all lives matter will get you booed, spurned by your teammates, fired or murdered.

Do you feel this way when an athlete gives their thanks and all glory to God and Jesus Christ? Does religion have any place in sports in your opinion?

Yet I have never read a post from you saying you believe athletes shouldn't bring their religious views and opinions in sports. There were numerous threads created by conservatives defending Tim Tebow's right to express his religious views on the field. Yet suddenly, those same conservatives are enraged that athletes want to express their political views in their sport.

I am fine with that. Thanking God after a home run by simply pointing at the sky as they run off the diamond is not part of a divisive political movement. I’ve not seen any riots about that since the Crusades.

If somebody wanted to say lay in left field and make cross of out their body before the game then yeah I would think that was way out of place and should stop.

Nobody took a knee thankfully tonight. MLB felt the need to replace the MLB logo on the mound with a BLM logo. I’ll not blame the team for that. But if MLB feels the need to keep shoving it at me as i watch a baseball game I’ll stop.

Do you feel that way about praying before, during or after a game too?

I’ve already posted twice they would not. Also said it was not about them caring. Having personal standards you stick too should not be dependent upon their effects on others. Thus the term personal.
