Herman Cain dead after battle with coronavirus.

You would have to be hiding under a rock if you think that the medical community hasn't been using cover patients to gain more information. They have be requesting plasma from Covid patients for several months.

I don’t support Trump in the least, but every governor that has performed a mask mandate—blue and red, needs ousted from office for gubernatorial overreach. New York, California and Texas would be a good starting point.

 

The flu kills about 40,000 per year in the US. The same people who are most vulnerable to the flu, are also most vulnerable to covid.

Herman Cain was a good man who lived a good life, which is more than I can say for those who seek to politicize his death.

We don't know for sure where Herman caught the virus, he could have caught it with a mask on at his local grocery store. What we do know is that he lived a good and active life, a life that those who live in a constant state of fear won't live.

Being cautious is not fear...it's common sense. I wonder if Mr. Cain was feeling fearful when they stuck that pipe into his trachea...and maybe even a bit remorseful so...thoughts and prayers.

 

Only because it's a novel virus, with little if any herd immunity. The same was true with the Spanish flu 100 years ago when it killed 675,000 as it first hit the US, over 4 times as many as your covid horror, and our population was far less then as well.

He died having lived a full and loving life, doing what he enjoyed doing, and being an inspiration to many who followed his career. That's how he died, not as one who feared life, but who loved life.

It seems the Right-Wing extremists are self-destructing both economically and literally, a trend that has been statistically identified going back to at least 1999.

I remember reading about a study done in November 2015, by two Princeton economists, Anne Case and Angus Deaton analyzing mortality rates among Americans from 1999 to 2013 that found for those years the mortality rate among white Americans age 45 to 54 rose, half a percent every year even surpassing Black Americans that has historically suffered a higher mortality rate for many, many decades, “…black mortality in the 45-to-54 age group has fallen 2.6 percent per year since 1999, while that of their white counterparts rose.”

Deaton concluded, "Half a million people are dead who should not be dead." The study traced the increase in deaths to drug addiction, especially involving opioids.

“From 2001 to 2014, the rate of heroin-related fatal overdoses has increased sixfold. A recent CDC report found that more people died from drug overdoses in the U.S. in 2014 than in any other year on record—and over 60 percent of those deaths came from opioids.”(source).

Of course drug addiction is not the real disease, but a symptom of a general economic collapse of the middle class in America since the 1981 Reagan Neo-liberal Revolution wiped out the wealth the middle class had accumulated. Yet, it was the Reagan Democrats that voted for a new economic model from the FDR New Deal. White male union members of American automobile manufacturers voted for Reagan, construction workers that supported Nixon enthusiastically voted for Reagan, Butcher unions, and the Aircraft Controller Union was the first public union to endorse Ronald Reagan for president.

That Neo-liberal promise is a bust: replacing American autoworkers are laborers in Mexico making $3 per hour. American construction workers, butchers are often paid minimum wage, and Reagan fired 11,359 controller of PATCO (Professional Air-Traffic Controllers Association (PATCO) starting an attack on all unions. Free Market Fundamentalism (Voodoo Economics) has been a total catastrophe for the Right-Wing Reagan supports and their families--along with many other Americans. These American workers were conned, swindled, and fooled into destroying themselves by trusting grifters, but instead of facing this terrible truth they became self-destructive and destructive to those around them.

Working with the Right-Wing the Tim McVeigh bombing in Oklahoma City was a successful terrorist attack against innocent Americans in the hope of creating outrage to trigger domestic unrest. They carry weapons in public, practice mobilizations to seize State government buildings, assassination bombings of political opponents. Also, the Boogaloo terrorists machine gunned a Santa Cruz Sheriff deputy and Right-Wing false flag killing of federal officers in Oakland California using a national protest against a broadcasted police snuff film of a Black American, George Floyd, being suffocated (yet another deliberate effort to create unrest to justify violence against minority Americans). Numerous George Floyd protesters have been shot, ran over by White Supremacist vehicle drivers, and mass shootings in American churches of Black Americans, Jewish worshipers, and the Left.

Refusing to wear a medical mask during a deadly respiratory pandemic is only an act of contrarianism since it’s easier than thinking. Rather than the Republican Right-Wing Fox news viewers admit to themselves they were wrong, and were completely conned out of their economic lives; they instead have become despondent and are self-destructive seeking to deliberately infect others.

I think the problem was the dems in the congress were wearing masks weeks before the majority of the republicans were (and Trump) I am certainly no follower of Trump and he does piss me off to no end, but a job of the president is to lead and I just wished that he would have worn a mask and stayed 6 feet from other people during press talks, and just remove the mask when he is at the microphone. He got people to believe that not wearing a mask was "ok"

 

I am not convinced that Cain did not die earlier than this announcement.
