They aren't sending ballots out to everyone. Even then, you are aware that states double-check things like signatures and make sure no one else has voted under the same identity, etc, right?

Please, tell us how the military gets checked in a way that everyone else does not.

It's been reported that dead cats are getting ballots. You want mail in fine, open the polls too.

The dead cat got an application to register form. Not a ballot.

This is also false. The cat did not get a ballot.

Ok good. I don't know of anyone suggesting that in person voting shouldn't happen or that it shouldn't be well prepared to handle voters on election day.

It isn't your call or ours. There is no evidence for your claims that mail-in = fraud. You've fallen for nonsense.

Covid-19 is viewed as an additional opportunity for those who seek to impair Americans exercising their right to vote, an implicit threat of contracting the pandemic via exposure during travel to and from the polls, and prolonged delay in long, slow lines, from the perspective of those whose interests are not served by participatory democracy.

    The fakery is transparent.
Trump has used the absentee voting system in at least three elections: Trump voted by mail during New York’s mayoral election in 2017, cast an absentee ballot during the state’s midterm election the following year, and again used a vote-by-mail ballot in Florida’s primary election in 2020.

Mail in ballots are only mailed it registered voters. In order to register to vote, you provide a copy of your ID (in the states that require them ).

Absentee ballots are only mailed to registered voters.

In other words, military are treated no different than anyone else.

In other words, absentee ballots and mail in ballots are the same in every way.

Trumpy hysteria at widespread voting by Americans is understandable.

People go to the supermarket, so why can’t they vote?

Just another way of cheating by the corrupt democrats.

With a candidate like dementia Joe, we know there will be cheating.

What's the problem? That's the way voting works in a lot of places. Switzerland, for example.

I like your idea. I had assumed that in person voting would still be available to but if it isn't then you have my support. One issue that could be a big problem though are longer lineups. Our voting center is usually manned by volunteers who are usually retired seniors. I am not sure if they are going to be willing to volunteer their time this year. Any seniors here who have volunteered in the past that plan on doing it again this year? What are your thoughts? Will there be any extra protection like plexiglass separators and such?

Here is what the Republicans are concerned about. From the OP's link:

"Republicans were particularly distressed with provisions of the bill that expand who is allowed to collect and hand in ballots. They warned it would enable a practice detractors call "ballot harvesting," in which volunteers working for political groups collect and turn in large quantities of ballots to tip the scales in elections."

They are not concerned about fraud. They are concerned that people who are allowed to vote will be encouraged to vote, vote, and have their ballots counted. They've actually said it out loud. They are concerned about votes being collected and counted, and those votes swaying the election.

Not a problem, my corner market had shields up in a day. I was able to go in get my soda pop and get to work as usual.

Care to clarify with some kind of evidence or is this going to be just as devoid of evidence as every other claim you've made on this thread?
