In regards to mail-in voting...“Trump is clearly seeking to undermine the legitimacy of the outcome should he lose. If he wins, he’ll say he did so in spite of fraud, and if he loses, he’ll claim he did so because of it.”

Yes, and black is white, up is down, in your brave new world.
I want no part of it.

Did I forget to mention that the party whose last AG said he was still Obama's Wing Man has taken issue with Barr doing his job, whining that Barr is Trump's Wing Man? How about the party that spied on millions of Americans without a warrant, then sending Clapper to lie to Congress, claiming that Trump is an authoritarian?

The Democrat Party is a national joke.

Republican administrations are criminals, and I have evidence, and you just got rhetoric.

Checking another source, the numbers match.

What I see is that Republicans are refusing to use the justice system to go after their political opponents.

Clearly. I read a couple of different opinion columns on it, which got ignored mainly because it sounded like encouraging The Pride of California to go do it.

It's been 20 years now since Al Gore did the legal equivalent. Clawing at the floor, screaming. A sniveling Democrat to the last.

May I quote you saying that, in regard to what you find in small town newspapers? :headbang:

Just like the stores, the polling places can be prepared just like the stores have. And, the voters should not complain and that's what this is really about. They want to be lazy and Democrats want the ability to cheat. When the people in Iraq finally got to have free elections after Saddam was gone, they did so with their lives on the line from terrorists who wanted to take over. People lost their lives. Yet, they valued liberty and freedom because they had none. American's are soft and lazy and don't value liberty and freedom the way they have. And, this is what you get. Lazy butts looking for a way to not go to the polling booths and show they are legit voters.

Well, the past 4 years the sniveling Democrats have dragged on the election not accepting defeat. Pathetic!

Understandable. What about the people that are genuinely afraid of COVID-19? I'm assuming they will have the booths six feet apart and workers will be wearing masks, but there are some people that are too afraid to risk it even with those things in place.

Worse, once they are elected (hopefully after about 2048 and most of us are gone) they will expend a majority of their political capital on punishing enemies, not leading.

In theory, can a President delay an election?

But there's no way that it's even possible, right?

In law he cannot. That would have to come from the courts. It's far more likely that for all its many, many flaws this cycle, the election will go through and the lawsuits will follow, from both sides. Many lawsuits will involve missing mail-in ballots. Most watchers expect the postal shirkers to waylay as many as possible.

The strangest part of that article: "The vast majority are not getting sick; in fact, most don't even know they are ill, and they are getting tested due to potential exposure, for return to work or travel or simply because the tests are widely available and free under most insurance plans." So some people have to PAY to be tested for COVID? Surely not!
