Of course not, that is why conservatives own guns. With or without the NRA, your side will NEVER EVER get them from us. The sun will die before we allow that.

Still, it's ironic that your guns failed to stop the NRA administrators from blithely robbing their members.

If the NRA or its leadership have broken any laws, should they be held accountable for that? Or should they be immune to prosecution?

I think if anyone is looking at fraud, that person should be looking at the southern poverty law center.

You'd be better off getting rid of the crooks and having an organization run by honest people. Unless, of course, you don't really believe in your position and feel you can't be represented in a straightforward manner.

Dissolved the President’s “charity” in 2018 and distributed the remains assets to charity.

25M Settlement in 2016 Trump University suit.

I suspect the NRA will dissolve voluntarily just to get rid of it’s officers and reconstitute itself. Actually, if you recall Oliver North was effectively blew the first whistle. This is over-the-top ugly. Much worse than the Trump family behavior.

It was set-up in New York. They can’t runaway like the President suggested.

    Whataboutism.

Clean up your organization or start a new one. Get rid of LaPierre, Phillips, Powell, and Frazer.

The top guy is getting 4% of donation income as his personal compensation. Before taking into account the use of private jets for vacations etc.

If you don’t see a problem with that, I can’t help you.

On the other hand, I’m not sure dissolving the NRA is the right way to go. By all means go after those who are corrupt, but I don’t know about whether that justifies dissolving the organisation. Maybe the corruption runs so deep that that is the only option.

Seems rather strange to "dissolve" a 148 year old organization with 5.5 million members because the organizations leadership stole money from the members. If the NY AG wants to do this the right way she would put the thieves in jail and try to recoup some of the members money.

Sure, if we're talking real world. But we aren't are we, in the rational world that is? Society is in that twilight stage of election year delirium, still drunk on politics, not yet sober and yet to go through full delirium tremens. Ask me again when the hallucinations are over.

He's appointed by the board who is elected by membership.

All of the so called malfeasance has already been investigated by the board and an independent auditor has been determined to be unfounded and it was discovered to have come out of a small group of now ex-employee's.

They got themselves into the NRA over a short period of time and then began making trouble from within, we have seen the same activist activities launched against other conservative organizations.

NY is upset because they sued by the NRA and the NRA won, so they launched this attack along with the previous attack to try to get the NRA's tax exempt status revoked, that also failed.

1.) NRA President Carolyn Meadows' statement.

"This was a baseless, premeditated attack on our organization and the Second Amendment freedoms it fights to defend," says NRA President Carolyn Meadows. "You could have set your watch by it: the investigation was going to reach its crescendo as we move into the 2020 election cycle. It's a transparent attempt to score political points and attack the leading voice in opposition to the leftist agenda. This has been a power grab by a political opportunist - a desperate move that is part of a rank political vendetta. Our members won't be intimidated or bullied in their defense of political and constitutional freedom."

Meadows added, "As evidenced by the lawsuit filed by the NRA today against the NYAG, we not only will not shrink from this fight - we will confront it and prevail."

    C. To Contrive a Pretext For Law-Enforcement Action, James Conspires With
    Everytown—And Maliciously Defames the NRA.

    15. To create air cover for their campaign against the NRA (which had begun to attract bipartisan criticism), 18 Cuomo and James coordinated actively with Everytown for Gun Safety (“Everytown”). Richly endowed by Michael Bloomberg, Everytown is an activist organization whose explicit political mission is to oppose the NRA. Documents that have surfaced to date in the NRA’s First Amendment litigation against Cuomo show that Everytown was instrumental in orchestrating New York State’s politically motivated investigation of certain NRA-related insurance products. The group has played a similar role in support of James’s attacks on the NRA’s legitimacy as a charitable organization.

Not from me. If he did that he should face consequences. The problem is the dissolution of the NRA.

That so called theft was based on legal expenses that have already been audited twice and where found to be legitimate and proper.

This is all anti-gun propaganda put forth by a handful of ex-NRA low level employee's working with Everytown and published in their news latter, a newsletter which is also funded by Bloomberg.

The NRA investigated its own administrators and came up with nothing?

    It's almost touching.

When you have a few minutes, could you explain to me how Wayne LaPierre, Wilson Philips, Joshua Powell and John Fraser became multi millionaires by running a non-profit organization?

My my it must be fun to so incorrect all the time, the NRA was audited by their contracted audit firm and then hired Deloitte to conduct an independent audit and both audits found the expenses to be in line with normal business practices.

Just in case you might not understand this Deloitte is one of the number one audit firms in the world, it is considered by the Fortune 100 to be the gold standard of auditors.

So much for you once again incorrect anti-gun theory's.

Why are you defending crooks? Do you have a political death wish? Separate the cause from the crooks or they'll drag you down.

You know, there's no way the NRA is the reason gun rights are what they are. Whether you're for or against gun rights (yes, a rather simplistic take), it should be obvious gun rights are based on how Americans see the issue.
