Portland sees peaceful night of protests following withdrawal of federal agents

I like the fact that the only reason that the Dem Party mayor was concerned was that it translated as bad publicity for the Dem Party.

 

That woman is clearly a federal agent, and she's provoking those peaceful protesters.

 

Democrat Senators refuse to accept left-wing violence with rioters co-opting BLM protesters. Essentially condoning it, or at least, refusing to address it.

 

They don't want to repeat the government's violence in the Sixties.

I'd like my reality without a river of blood, thanks...................

 

So, have you officially given up on the false notion that Portland has become a bastion of peace and tranquility now that Trump's stormtroopers are gone, or are you still clinging to the narrative like a dog with a bone?

 

By doing absolutely nothing? How does that stop the violence which is already happening??? They are encouraging it by ignoring it.

This OP and article aged like milk. Portland's leftist mayor even said the rioters were "attempting to commit murder."

 

What would they want to do that for?

Antifa has achieved the agenda against free speech to a degree that even critics like me never imagined possible. It simply took inaction from our government and silence from our citizens. That's an old political trick. Bust heads to distract people from your failure to prevent it, and from your failure to manage things properly.

 

A little history..

After WW2 people were terrified. That cannot be overstated. In Europe, they locked down Right wing groups way worse than we ever did. They had damn good reason to, in the era immediately following WW2.

IOW, anyone pinning this entirely on Antifa, either doesn't know what he is talking about, or he is lying to make a buck.

I actually argued against that, with Europeans.

I am also a member of the ACLU, that fought in court for the right of Nazis to peacefully assemble. I am currently having second thoughts about that.

Republicans are trying hard, by means both fair and foul, to turn Antifa into a bogeyman...

They are not.

There is a discussion to be had about their making the names of extremists public knowledge.

 

I am amazed that after having their ass handed to them with quotes from a far leftie mayor admitting the "peaceful protestors" tried to commit murder some posters will still dig in their heels and cling to their own ignorance. Do you ever question why that is?

The failure in Portland is all local, much as that in NYC and Minneapolis and it's a Democrat failure to keep order.

 

To make peaceful protestors into rioters. I've said for a long time this is where most of these 'riots' come from. I think most of "Antifa" are right-wing toughs recruited and paid for by the Kochs et al. I think these Federal police are just Trump's contribution to that "movement"

Turn the question around, why would peaceful protestors riot? If they just wanted to loot stores and burn buildings for no reason why haven't they done so before?
