Ok, now tell me how many mean-spirited lies have been spread by various left wing personalities. What are the norms of human social interaction and decency and why does it seem only one side gets called out on violations thereof? I certainly understand why one would dislike his public persona, I'm not a big fan of it myself, but it is reactionary and many republicans have let the left and mainstream media roll over them while trying the civil approach.

There has been attacks by both sides but NEVER to the degree that trump does filled with lies and just downright bad things to say.

 

What would they be? No he is not a moron, he's managed to hold on to his office for most of a term despite constant concerted effort from an opposition much more experienced in the political sphere...that alone would give credence to his intelligence (although he is certainly prone to self aggrandizing.) I've already addressed his "lies," many of which are not such. He has been wrong as he speaks and tweets impulsively, but that isn't intentional deception. Many of them are merely a matter of perspective and many are opinions that cannot by definition be a "lie" unless you have insight into his actual thoughts. Be honest with yourself and look at the assault against him and you'll realize that by left-wing media standards he can do no right, anything and everything he says or does will be criticized and spun into what it was never intended as. I have no problem with people disagreeing with his policies or disliking his personality, but following the mainstream narrative word for word without any semblance of original thought drives me nuts.

 

Never in the style that Trump does. I would argue that accusations of racism where there is none, false rape claims and the like are far far more vile, as they are designed to ruin careers and destroy reputations. That isn't to say all are false or that these aren't serious issues, but it gets ridiculously obvious that the left uses these tactics without any regard for the validity of the accusations.

 

Might as well get used to it. Now that it's been done a floodgate has been opened. All future Presidents will be doing the same thing. Even Biden is doing it and will continue to do so. So are all the other politicians.

And honestly I don't mind it. To me it's no different than when the Press was first allowed into the WH. It's a way to connect to the people. I don't see that as a bad thing in the grand scheme of things.

Listen I make my own decisions I dont let the media sway me without first looking. It is very easy to see that trump is not even close to how smart he says. He considers himself a God basically and that is exactly what he is striving to achieve. I will say one thing about him his con game is really good he has about 40% of the country duped up.

When corporations own the state, corporate speech platforms open to the public are the public square.

Those who hide behind the excuse of private enterprise in instances involving matters of free speech in this new public square are ill-informed at best, and despicable at worst.

 

The problem is ot would be more like say they owned a piece of land (in this case it would be their servers that Twitter or whatever app you want to talk about) they may let you hold rallies and such or they can boot you off the land if everyone starts getting rowdy. This is no different Twitter owns the servers that you are talking on so it is their right to govern how they wish if you want
