If President Trump would up SSN benefits I would really be a much happier camper versus just being a happy camper.

The house passed a new package 2 months ago. The do nothing Republicans did nothing. And now are not even taking part in negotiations. You think voters don't see the Republicans are lazy?

The payroll tax goes partially into Social Security - so what he has done was rob your future SS payments to pay
    for today's actions. You're welcome.

Fake argument. I oppose them on both sides Try making it through a post without making **** up just because you have no rational basis for your argument.

There hasn't been money in the SSN fund for decades. It's as empty as Biden's head.

Yeah, right on the heels of one that was just passed. Without waiting to see how the first one affected things, like all the economic experts said should be done. That is the part that you are ignoring.

So you are telling me that if I do a search for your comments on DACA and McCain Feingold, I'll find you opposed both of them?

After Pelosi and the Democrats FAIL THE AMERICAN WORKER, Trump steps up with badly needed relief and unemployment extension.

While the Swamp Creatures fight over pork, unemployed Americans are dying on the vine, President Trump strode boldly into the breach and sunk his fingers deep into the dyke. With sweeping executive actions aimed at coronavirus relief - after the Democrat House FAILED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, Trump came through with what he could:

    The new orders will:
    • Eliminate the payroll tax
    • Extend unemployment benefits by $400 per week, up from $600
    • Defer student loan repayments through the end of the year
    • Extend protections against evictions
The administration is also looking at cuts to income taxes for lower and middle-income individuals, as well as cuts capital gains taxes.

If you have a problem with Trump extending unemployment benefits and eviction protections, by all means, file suit!

I don't recall ever commenting on McCain Feingold. On DACA, I opposed executive action and said it should have been done by Congress. So, tell me where I can find you opposing Trump's circumvention of Congress's taxation and spending powers, etc. At least tell me where I can find you criticizing him for calling the emoluments clauses of the Constitution "phony."

So? It was known that more was going to be needed. This virus will be here for another year.
So why are congress repubs not even in negotiations? Fractured? Yes.

I have no standing. You need standing to file a lawsuit against the government.

"Asked whether he was concerned about the legality of his executive order, Trump replied, “No, not at all. You always get sued, everything you do you get sued … we’ll see.”...."

wonder if he will cancel the election and say the same?

And the Dems knew that it wouldn't as it stood. They even admitted that and said they would work with Republicans to get it amended.

I’m talking about the payroll tax holiday. I didn’t get anything previously so I didn’t care.

Since all anyone can do is point a finger at the “other” party when refusing to do the same to their “team” it will not be corrected. Instead it will just grow with each administration until we have a dictator instead of a wannabe one.

Personally I think we need to return to the federal government having little say in anything outside of items that cannot be handled by the states themselves. Small effective military, enforcing trade agreements, some environmental concerns. Let the states keep the majority of taxes and spend them as they see fit.

If they want a highly educated population with state healthcare let them. If they want to ban abortion and teach god instead of science while forcing their citizens to go bankrupt over medical reasons, let them.
