Um.... so your answer is no. You don't have any evidence for your first assertion. Got it. The propaganda page you cited is just that. It doesn't paint a picture that is fact based, or legally conditioned. Just as an FYI, when they lament that AAs are ~23% of those killed by the police, they also don't quantify why these folks were killed. It's a dishonest approach.

The killer should have exercised discretion. The homicide victim complied.

It's what most people buy a pistol FOR, though, especially if they live in suburbia and aren't hunters, and even if they are hunters and don't live in dangerous snake territory, (which is just about nowhere if you talk to most hunters)

This is another thing about guns that gets to me. You have a right to OWN one but your right to actually use it is very much more restricted and this comes about from the inherent and extreme danger it presents. Most people seem to think it's quite common to pull a gun on someone, but I've always been told that you're not supposed to do that unless you're going to shoot somebody right then.

"If you see this gun it will be the last thing you ever see" I was always told that was the proper attitude unless you were hosting your hunter/gunny buddies. Maybe the cops thought this way, I dunno, but it still seems that shooting the guy in the back was a little extreme.

Let's just start with the fact that the poster made no mention of the fact that the guy had a gun in his hand?

Maybe it's just me, but just because there's a knock at the door doesn't mean I am compelled to answer it.

I would not have opened the door. Hell I probably would have just continued playing my game.

Perhaps you might want to put a little more thought into your replies when you knowingly have less information than other posters.

Are you under the impression that a cop can shoot someone who simply has a gun in their hand?

Apparently it is also possible in a representative democracy. The land of the free and the home of the brave. Just don't be brave enough to answer your door with a pistol in your hand, at 11 PM (just a guess). And then, when you do answer the door, you get a face-full of bright white LED light. Tactical, I see someone called it. Like your apartment is in Fallujah. In less than 20 seconds the guy went from playing video games and making salsa to being shot in the back three times by this police officer. Shot in the back while already having fallen to his knees.

And then, just to establish law and order and who is in charge, the police demand that his partner get on her knees and "relax"!? "get down on your knees, get down on your knees, get down on your knees, just get down, get down, relax".

I'm guessing that you're saying BLACKS are stopped more often. If so, then provide your source.

Yes, but the immediate counter-argument from the left is that twice as many whites are killed because they are 70+% of the population. They may even argue that cops would have to kill FIVE times as many whites as blacks for it to be proportional, because there are about 5 times as many whites than blacks. So we must always exclusively focus on the behavioral and situational argument, which you obviously refer to.

    https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-ta...s-we-know-about-race-and-policing-in-the-u-s/

... In a 2019 Center survey, 84% of black adults said that, in dealing with police, blacks are generally treated less fairly than whites; 63% of whites said the same. Similarly, 87% of blacks and 61% of whites said the U.S. criminal justice system treats black people less fairly....

Or here for state of California ...

The point is that the United States has long been essentially a fascist regime. And what is happening is a confrontation between society and the ruling class. The police, which are in the service of the ruling class, do everything so that society does not think about the class struggle, but starts a racial conflict. Thus, all economic problems were transferred to the racial plane. This policy is not new. So in the 30s in Germany, Jews were accused of all economic and social problems of the Germans. Now, publicly or tacitly supporting the crazy BLM, the authorities provoke racial hatred. The goal is to distract society from the US economic collapse.

Police behavior - is typical police behavior under a fascist dictatorship. At the same time, even in Nazi Germany, the Gestapo did not do that.
This police behavior is worse than it was in Nazi Germany. This is similar to what happened in Duvalier's Haiti or in the wild African countries with a cannibal dictator.

What on earth are you talking about? Didn't you see the clip? Look at the footage from the cover officer, he sees this guy drop into a kneeling firing stance and start bringing the gun around from behind his back towards his oppo. We will never know if he intended to kill the cop or put the gun down but the officer had no choice.

Clearly to who? I don't understand why there are so many cop attackers who want to denigrate this brave officer for his split second life or death decision?
